redondo, de modo que vayan siempre descubiertos, pues no debe permitirse
que usen trajes que les oculten cuando no puede presumirse que ninguno
tenga probos motivos para ello... Advirtiendo a todos que están dadas las
órdenes convenientes para que a cualquiera de los empleados que están al
servicio del rey que se les encuentre con el traje que se prohíbe se le asegure y
mantenga arrestado a disposición de Su Majestad.“

RETIRO (12 de mayo de 1767)
"Permitiéndose que en los jardines del Real Sitio del Retiro se
concurra a pasear pie mientras las estaciones del verano y otoño lo
hagan agradable, proporcionando en ellos la comodidad del
asiento y refresco que libremente convenga a cada uno, se hace
saber lo siguiente:
I . No se dará entrada sino a cuerpo descubierto, de manera que
los hombres han de presentarse peinados, sin gorro, red,
monteras, ni cosa que desdiga del traje decente que se usa; por
consecuencia, en casaca y chupa, sin jaquetilla, capa ni gabán.
II . Las mujeres hasta la puerta del jardín podrán traer el manto o
mantilla, pero para entrar tendrán que plegar, dejar allí o ponerlas
en sus bolsillos
VIII. No se necesita prevenir con estrechez la compostura y
regularidad que ha de gobernar las acciones de los concurrentes,
porque la misma publicidad y el respeto que se merece un Real
Sitio, tienen en sí bastante influencia para persuadir lo que
conviene a un concurso decente como éste”.
