1. MISSION
The “Sweet Nectar Society” is a non-profit organization that strives to bring awareness of serious
illnesses, disabilities, and injuries that affect children. Founder Brittany Wilbur found that the art of
photography and reaching out to community outreach programs was a unique and effective way to do
so. This organization wants everyone to see that the photos symbolize the courage, strength, and hope
of each child.
FREE PHOTOSHOOTS
The free photosh0ots are intended to shine light on these children that are ill or injured. Their pictures
are meant to signify the bravery and hope that every child has. Their photos are uploaded onto
www.sweetnectarsociety.org along with a personal blog explaining the journey of the child. At least 80
families have had photo sessions and Brittany hopes to continue to impact the community.
“SWEET EATS” PROGRAM
The “Sweet Eats” program was inspired by Hendrix Wille, a young boy who was diagnosed with Acute
Myeloid Leukemia when he was 2 years old and passed away when he was 3. His parents, Art and Roze
Wille, decided to join the Sweet Nectar Society and start the “Sweet Eats” program at the Valley
Children’s Hospital for the families that have little resources. It is intended to help with making these
families a bit more comfortable. The program provides a kitchen where they can get free food and
drinks, the have access to laundry service, and they are also provided with gift cards. If you would like to
help donate to the program, here is their site: http://sweetnectarsociety.org/make-a-difference/
