As the group leader on this project I served as the key contact in relation to the community and stakeholders who participated in making this event a success. Along with my colleagues we created and distributed surveys, pertaining to community health and self awareness.

3. This project was developed to fulfill the requirements of the Interventive
Methods Social Work with Communities course. The course provides
knowledge and development skills for professional social work practice
with diverse populations in a variety of practice settings with specific skills
such as problem solving, assessment, intervention and evaluation of
practice.
This project gave us an opportunity to :
Understand the relationships between macro level social work and selected
concepts of community development, empowerment, and sustainable development
Examine the roles that social workers assume in working with community
organizations and assisting communities in mobilizing for action.
Apply basic principles and strategies of community organizing and planning
Examine and apply strategies for overcoming or reducing resistance to planned
changes in social systems
