opportunity has given us the tools to help the company to
obtain the AS9100 registration. We also want to thank SAI
Global company for their help during the execution of this
project. They gave us the information regarding the
AS9100 registration requirements.

applicable to companies that supply to aerospace and
defense industries.
• Incorporates all of ISO 9001 with additional industry
specific requirements for aerospace.

shall had certain elements in the quality management

• General Requirements: The organization shall establish
and document a Quality Management System. This
system shall help the company to identify and controlled
the most important process. Also help the organization to
control and monitored the nonconformance.
• Documentation Requirements: The organization must
have a system to control the documents and identified the
most important documents and records.
• Quality Manual: The organization shall establish a
Quality Manual that include the scope of the quality
management and their policy. Also this document shall
have the interaction of the quality system with the
organization process.

• Control Of Documents: The organization shall have a
system documented to define the control of the
procedures. This shall include how to approve and control
the revisions and the distribution of the documents.
• Management Responsibilities: The Top management of
the organization shall prove that they had commitment
with the customers and assure their requirements were
met. Also they shall establish the quality policy and the
objectives of the company. Another top management
responsibility is that they shall ensure that the resources
needed to meet the customers’ needs are available.
• Resource Management: The organization needs to
identify the resources that are needed to meet the
customer requirements and address the customer
satisfaction.

• Product Realization: The organization shall plan product
realization processes to be in compliance with the
customer requirements. This requirement shall include;
validation, measuring, configuration management risk
management that help to identify the risk of the
organization, also control purchasing and the design and
development phase.
• Measurement, Analysis and Improvement: This section
includes all the monitor and the inspection process that
the organization shall implement to control the
characteristics of the product. It’s required to have a
system to measure and monitoring the product, measure
the customer satisfaction, make analysis of the data, had
in place a corrective and preventive action program. The
corrective and preventive action system shall help the
organization to eliminate issues and take preventive
actions.

• Quality Manual: The quality manual describes the
company’s structure, the scope and processes of the
quality management system, this shall include the
importance of how to meet the customer’s needs.
• Document Management System: The organization shall
have a document procedure to describe the process to
control the documents.
• Record Management: The organization shall a
procedure that describe the process to maintain and
identified the records.
• Internal Audit: The organization shall had a procedure
that describe the process to conduct internal audits.

procedure that describe the process to take the actions to
eliminate the causes of nonconformities.
• Preventive Action: The organization shall had a
procedure to take action that help to eliminate the causes
of potential nonconformities and how they can prevent

procedure to ensure that the product that they
manufacture its in compliance with the customer
requirements, this procedure shall include the process to
define the process to maintain the control and what shall
the organization needs to do with a nonconformance
procedure.

• The organizational structure of company is a hierarchical
system of respect and decision making.
• There are different types of organizational structure.
Functional - the organization is grouped by the functions
to be performed within the sales organization, marketing,
human resources, finance, quality and all other
departments.
Divisional - each division contains all the necessary roles
and resources to function separately.
Matrix Structure – the organization is divided by teams of
employees who perform work in order to build on the
strengths and compensate for weaknesses, functional
structures, divisional and bureaucratic.

• To ensure that the results of the audit will be effective, it
is important to have a group of well-trained auditors.
• The auditors needs to have the certifications required by
AS9100.
• They need a clear understanding of the audit mission.
• The Lead auditor will organize all the audit steps and
communicate the audit objectives.
• The lead auditor will be responsible of the opening and
closing meeting.
• The auditors will conduct the audit as establish by the
Lead Auditor.
