2. An image of the DU freshmen dorm, “Halls” which houses the
majority of students entering college.
3. The DU campus, where many
of the fraternity houses sit… a
place where parties often go
unattended and drinking can
lead to dangerous activities.
4. At the Health Center
you will find the
“condom” baskets,
which look like
lollipops from afar.
5. Morgan’s Liquor is
a liquor store only
a few minutes
from campus,
often a place
known for selling
alcohol to minors.
6. The section of Walgreens where you can
find a myriad assortment of pregnancy
tests. Often these tests aren’t cheap and
sometimes unpredictable. However
students are likely to purchase over-the-
counter instead of visiting the Health
Center in fear of their parents finding out
about the reason why they visited.
7. Looking pregnant during a time when everyone is partying
can be a difficult and uncomfortable situation that often
women go to great lengths to avoid.
8. A photo of Caitlin and her two-year-old daughter. Caitlin has described how
challenging life can be taking care of a small child and going to school full-time.
9. Not a long of strong, educational information offered on the DU Health
Center’s website… Finally the last line, “Let us know what happens” is
begging for a woman to go find support elsewhere.
10. The average year cost
of tuition and fees are
$39,177. Those dollars
plus the cost of a child
can really add up.
Often these types of
expenses make it
impossible for
mothers to pay for
childcare and stay in
school.
11. One of three Planned Parenthood
sites in the city of Denver. Often a
resource and a location where girls
and mothers can find support and
educational services, this is also the
only place DU Health Center sends
girls who have found out they are
pregnant.
12. Inside the Planned
Parenthood office
you’ll find to find
security and intense
verification of you
are and why you’re
there.
13. You’ll notice that this is the
University of Denver’s Pro-
Life website, which is nearly
empty. This shows the lack
of information and support
there is for women who
choose to continue their
pregnancy.
14. This is the pro-choice website for Colorado, however it is also the
outlet and resource for DU women who are active participants in
pro-choice rally’s and get-togethers.
