  1. Ties everything that you have learned thus far in this course together. Creating your personal brand knowing what that is will infinitely make your job search easier. We’re familiar with brands for products but a brand is also for people. You are trying to find a job. You want someone to pay you money to do a job, provide a service, that is a product in itself. If you do your branding right the jobs find you. Marketing 8 years started in Biotech at Affy and now for hi tech mostly start ups, early and mid stage start ups. With 5 words and a few links on my linked in profile, I have 5+ recruiters contact me every week with various job opportunities.
  2. Because you don’t have a lot of time, you have to communicate a lot of information very succinctly and in a very short amoutn fo time. Whether that’s making an online impression with your LI profile or trying to make your self stand out during a job fair. Communicating the right information because you want the hiring manager to take you to the next step, you want to buy more of their attention
  3. Branding is your unique identy. No one else has that, there are no two brands that are the same. It expresses the most unique form of you. It is your differentiator.
