Bakun Hydro Power Headrace Tunnel Rehabilitation Project
Project included intake works, generating units and head race
tunnel. At time of appointment project was 6 months behind
schedule. Contractor had no experience and little understanding
of the work. Developed execution strategy and execution plan,
long distance pump and concrete strategy for 3858 m pumped
concrete placement. Completed ahead revised schedule. Long
distance pumping of 3858m with 361m head is record for Asia.

101 MW Chuzachen RoR Hydro Electric Power Project-HRT
Brought to project to complete tunneling/ concrete lining works
and BOP that was plagued with poor leadership, non-
performance of main contractor, no controls, no knowledge of
long distance concrete pumping (2000 +metres) and in-ability to
plan or progress works. Project was 2.5 yrs behind schedule
with no planning to achieve completion. At time of joining
tunneling lining works still to be completed was 8200 of10600
plus intake works and BOP.
Built team, developed and implemented project execution plan,
master schedule , risk assessment, developed execution
procedures for long distance pumping, quality management
system and rigorous reporting and evaluation regimes. Project
brought under control, concrete lining, intake works and BOP
90% completed and left to owners contractor to complete and
commission.

CS EnergyKogan Creek CLFR Solar Power Project
Project had been moth balled until 750mw Kogan Ck Power
station commenced. With refinement Linear Fresnel Reflector
Technology CLFR became economically viable as add on
generated output optimizing use of 750 mw base station cooling
and turbine capacity. Study and recommendation to CS energy
board resulted decision to resurrect Kogan Creek Solar project.

Batanes Governor Power Generation Review
Review wind generation/ mini hydro option to replace aging oil
fired generator with wind turbine (<0.8 MW) and mini hydro
generator (1MW) Study included current/ future demand,
climatic evaluation and available generating and distribution
equipment .Lack of funds resulted in shelving of the project and
the refurbishment of oil fired generator. In terms of operating
cost advantage the proposal provided a cost effective and
efficient solution to the small islands power problems,

Design and construction of access declines, open stopes
tunnels, concentrator and infrastructure for 400K tpa in remote

contractors and procurement Sourced local supply, contractors,
procurement and refurbishment plant equipment on and off-
shore. Negotiate power supply. Project suspended due owners
funding difficulties.

grinding circuits and debottle-neck existing 60ktpa plant.

Identification new molecular sieve technology, procure,

at offshore facility. One of few projects in Australia to complete
below budget and ahead of schedule 2005-2006.

Construction included HDPE over clay lined TSF, WSF, 154
klm HV transmission lines, substations, crushing/ grinding
circuits, elusion / CIL circuits, thickeners , tanks, gold-room.
Support infrastructure, water and sewerage treatment plants,
services, accom 450 staff 1200 local employees. 4 million +
man hours without lost time incident. FIDIC conditions of
contract.

Hallet Wind Farm Study to Board AGL - Study Director
Study Director evaluation and recommendation for development
of wind farm adjacent to 180Mw gas fired station. Study
examined interconnection and switching through Hallet, climate
/ environmental advantages and cost benefit. Due to change in
AGL executive management wind generation was deferred.
