A renowned leader in environmentally responsible food production, John Z. Blazevich now heads Viva! Food Group. Previously, he pioneered numerous breakthroughs with his former company, Contessa Premium Foods, which he founded in 1984. As President and CEO of Contessa Premium Foods, John Z. Blazevich faced numerous environmental challenges head-on with a commitment to sustainable seafood in Contessa products, which were endorsed by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. With a key interest in physics, John Blazevich also designed and built Contessa’s Green Cuisine Plant, the world’s first “green” LEED-certified frozen food manufacturing plant.
