Job Responsibilities
P&C (Entergy, SE Ohio AEP substation projects). Manage and assist projects onsite, ranging from
345KV to 12.47KV, throughout the duration and effectively interface and own the relationship with
customers and their vendors. Work consisted of inspection, uploading settings, testing and calibration of
relays, circuit and other system protection and alarm devices inside the control room. Answering or
interpreting to station electrician’s inquiry about wiring or manufacturer’s drawings. These also includes
planning and detailing the order of demolition of old system protection control. Testing and preparing
communication equipment for SCADA checkout hardware and program to meet the customer’s
requirements. Troubleshooting malfunctioned equipment and consulting with manufacture’s technical
support when needed.
Installed mobile transformers’ controls to include the system protection, feeder breaker and
motor operated air switches in preparation for upgrade of transformers and distribution breakers.
Wrote major commissioning test sheets.
Tested and programmed multiple Line, Breaker Failure, Cap Bank, Transformer Overall
Differential, Internal Differential, Tertiary, High and Low Side Differential and Bus Differential
Relays using Doble Test Set, ENOSERV RTS, SEL AcSELerator, SEL Architect, SEL 5010 and GE
UR software.
Tested and programmed Ruggedcomm RMC 30 and Ruggedcomm 2100 RTU switches in order to
communicate control room’s RTU and to meet customer’s security specifications.
Tested and documented multiple carrier systems which includes the wave traps, the carrier and
the tuner for transmission line using PCA-4125.
Part of multiple SCADA checkout and End-to-end testing for final stage of commissioning of all
protection and alarm system inside the control room.
Wrote several suitable accurate project reports and updates in timely completion of the projects.
2. Field Service Technicians-inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low,
medium and high voltage (to 500kV) electrical systems, and moderately complex relay calibration
and power metering. Instrument transformer tests. Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR,
Insulation Resistance, etc. Test both electro-mechanical and solid state relays. Cable testing - Tan
Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot. Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting. Low, Medium and
High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing. Rotate emergency on-call duty and if called
respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
