3. BEYOND THE MARGINS
Postcard Design // Spring 2013
Idea: Designed to reflect on Mark Bartlett’s essay
Beyond the Margins of the Page. I divided the essay
into separate 18 ideas, which then summarized into 18
simpler ideas. Finally, I took those ideas and put
them into my own simplistic, blunt logic format, thus
creating an interesting division between the original
words in the essay and the bold message on the cards.
Designed: All original imagery.
Medium: CS6, Printed, Tin Can

USA STATE ALLERGY CAPITALS 2013
There is no place safe from allergies in America, and some cities are more troublesome than others. This fall could be a perfect storm for allergy sufferers, as global weather
conditions boost ragweed levels, and fall storms and tornadoes disperse allergens and outdoor mold, according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA).
The cities of the U.S. have been ranked according to how challenging they are to live in for people with allergies. AAFA encourages the approximately 40 million Americans
who suffer from seasonal allergies to learn more and consult an allergy specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment of seasonal allergy symptoms. Recent studies suggest
that rising temperatures and carbon dioxide levels could be extending ragweed season by as much as a month or more.1, 2 This is especially true in the northern states in
the U.S. where there are now longer periods of warm weather than before.

USA STATE ALLERGY CAPITALS
Info-graphic Design // Fall 2013
Idea: There are not a lot of maps that are allergy
related out there on the web. The ones that are out
there aren’t helpful or even nice looking at all.
The information given doesn’t have depth, making most
allergy-related maps overlooked. I decided to use the
data in a more informational and organized way.

8. UTOPIA/DYSTOPIA FILM FESTIVAL
YBCA Exhibition Design // Fall 2013
Idea: The world is heading towards a horrible
future, but if we can learn about the world around
us, we might be able to stop it. Films are the best
choice of learning for most people, so I created a
film festival dedicated to movies that show what our
world could become.

10. CASA GIULIA JAM
Redesign Package Design // Spring 2014
Idea: “Redesign something you thought was ugly.”
The idea behind the redesign of Casa Giulia
Jam is that even though the current version is
alright, I thought that it needed a face lift and
showcase a more modern ideal while keeping its
historical voice.
Designed: All original imagery.

13. SIGH MAGAZINE
Publication Design // Spring 2014
Idea: “We know that it is common in young adults
who are in their teens and 20s, who are coping
with important life transitions, such as leaving
home and beginning college or new jobs: we want
to be that little moment of bliss; a pre-planned
daydream distraction, a momentary vacation, and
a pop-culture infused, take-me-back-to-the-90s
place called home.”
