2. My name is Joshua, but I like to go by Josh. I was born in Ocala, Florida in the early
2000s and consider myself part of the

rst generation to grow up with touch screen
phones and high-powered computers. Family and the value of making sacri
fi
ces for
loved ones have been central to my upbringing in an Italian household. As a child, I
found great joy in making others happy, whether through doing my mom's chores or
drawing pictures for my older sister. As I matured, I channeled that love for serving
others into helping people with problems they didn't feel comfortable sharing. I wrote
poetry about my insecurities to show others they weren't alone and made myself
available as a dependable friend. Ultimately, I hope to continue helping others and
providing opportunities to those who may not have them readily available.
