The Brewery
The cornerstone of The Brewery’s business is based on the values of stewardship, inclusivity, integregrity and
transparency. To support their values, the venue has partnered with ‘Downright Excellent’, a charity that helps to
provide children with Down's Syndrome opportunities to grow. The venue holds weekly speech and language
therapy sessions as well as support for parents and guardians.

The May Fair Hotel
The May Fair Hotel takes their corporate social responsibility seriously. They are committed to minimising
waste production, keeping transparency with stakeholders and ensuring suppliers purchase responsibly.
The hotel monitors and records their responsible business programme regularly, to measure and
compare their performance against their policies, objectives and targets.
4. 1c Portland Place, Regent Street, W1B 1JA
The Langham London
The Langham Hotel have recently signed up for benchmarking and certification through the EarthCheck
Program, and have been awarded with Gold Certification for the second year in a row. They are the first
luxury hotel in Europe to achieve this level of certification. This venue also holds Silver Certification from
Green Tourism, which is the most established sustainable program in the world.
5. Academy of Medical Sciences, 41 Portland Place, W1B 1QH
41 Portland Place
41 Portland Place puts significant emphasis on environmental responsibility. They use environmentally friendly
food wherever possible, including free range eggs and line caught tuna. The organisation recycles a lot of
their waste, uses ecologically friendly kitchen equipment and trains all its staff on the requirements of their
Environmental Policy.
6. 90 York Way, N1 9AG
Kings Place
Kings Place works with a number of charities, including C4WS and Global Generation. C4WS provides
hospitality and food for men and women in the local area and Global Generation focus on working on a
community-based food growing program. Whenever possible, the venue only uses producers from the
United Kingdom, and subsequently works closely with the producers to ensure consumers know exactly
what's on their plate.

The Wesley
The Wesley calls itself the first ethical hotel in the UK, which is fitting, as they are the only London hotel to earn
the Social Enterprise Mark Award. For the past three years all food waste has been recycled, resulting in a
100% reduction in their landfill usage! They have also chosen the energy supplier ‘Good Energy’ which is a
company with a 0% carbon footprint who also have the highest sustainability ranking.
8. Storey’s Gate, SW1H 9NH
Central Hall Westminster
Central Hall Westminster is a social enterprise with 100% of their business profits going to support local
charities and philanthropic initiatives in the area. The hall provides space, free of charge to St. Vincent’s
Family Project, which hosts a children’s day care centre for low-income families residing in Westminster.

ETC Venues
ETC Venues own a series of venues throughout Central London and Southbank. Over 70% of waste in the
venues is recycled, including battery cells and fluorescent light tubes. As well as many unwanted pieces of
furniture being donated to local community groups and organisations. Every venue also has a team of
“Green Champions”, consisting of ETC.Venues staff members who have completed the government-
recognised “Waste Awareness Foundation Level.” The organisation has received numerous awards for their
efforts in this field.

The Crystal London
The Crystal is the world’s most sustainable events venue! It's the only building in the world to achieve the
highest certification in both the BREEAM and LEED schemes. The venue uses 70% less CO2 emissions than
comparable offices in the UK, the annual heating bill is £0, and 100% of the toilet water at The Crystal
is recycled.
11. One Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, E16 1XL
ExCeL London
The organisation operates their sustainability management systems to comply with both ISO20121 and
ISO14001, which is managed by an internal sustainability committee. ExCeL also funds two initiatives with local
charities, including Newham All Stars Sports Academy and Community Food Enterprise.

One Great George Street
One Great George Street offers a sustainable meeting package. This includes rooms lit by natural daylight,
fair trade beverages, menus with locally sourced raw ingredients, and for all the written communication to
be produced electronically. They also purify their own water on site, which avoids the waste of glass bottles.
13. 7 Venues throughout London
Cavendish Venues
Cavendish Venues have consistently been ahead of the environmental responsibility trend. They were the first
venues in London to stop using disposable mineral water bottles, as well as the first London venue to become
accredited landfill neutral. This year, they introduced a bespoke carbon calculator to their website, which was
a first for any London venue.
14. Lancaster Terrace, W2 2T
Lancaster London
Lancaster London currently supports two charities, St. Mary’s Hospital Paddington and The Passage.
Lancaster supports St. Mary’s through regular fundraising and have hosted parties for the Children’s
Ward patients and their families. Lancaster also donates soap, bed linen and lost property to The
Passage.
