Chapter 6
   1. On page 68 “… an arch of water descending from leavings…” What is this referring to? And
       who says “I was untalented in this are.” And why does he/she say it?
   2. Give details of why was the back of the Radley house less inviting than the front?
   3. Describe how it went for Scout, Dill and Jem going to the Radley’s place. Use the following
       words to narrate the events: chickens, saddle, squeaked, man’s shadow, went rigid, covered
       his face, roar of a shotgun, fence the schoolyard, getting home, respiration normal, pants,
       strip poker, showing up pants, get your head shot off.
   4. Who says, “Next time he won’t aim high, be it dog, nigger or Jem Finch”. Why would this
       person say this? Explain.
   5. Clarify why Scout admired Jem for saying they played with matches.

Chapter 7
   1. State how was second grade for Scout.
   2. Narrate what really happened the night the children went to the Radley place. What
       happened to Jem’s breeches?
   3. How many items have been found in the knot hole so far? Explain what these items
       represent?
   4. Write a thank you letter to the person who has given these 8 gifts so far.
   5. What happened to the knot hole? Explain who did it and why it was done?
   6. Establish why Jem had been crying.

Chapter 8
   1. Why were Scout and Jem burnt with guilt of contributing to the aberrations of nature?
       Mention at least 5 situations.
   2. Why was Atticus still touchous about his children and the Radley’s?
   3. What was so curious about Jem’s snowman? Why, how and who did Jem transform it to?
   4. Why does Scout say she knows when there was trouble? Describe this situation. What
       happened?
   5. Why does Atticus say, “You’re right, we’d better keep this and the blanket to ourselves?
       Someday, maybe, Scout can thank him for covering her up” Whose “him” and why did he
       cover her up?
   6. Assert why Miss Maudie isn’t grieving.
   7. Whose” morphodite”? Explain the situation.
