Annual Americas Iron Ore Conference to be hosted in Rio de Janeiro
on November 11th and 12th at the Windsor Atlântica Hotel.
IMM events for the iron ore industry – over a decade of history in providing world-class industry updates
and discussions
Americas Iron Ore complements our successful iron ore portfolio
which includes the Global Iron Ore Steel event in Perth, the EU
Iron Ore event in Berlin, London and Stockholm, and the Africa Iron
Ore event in Cape Town.
In the past year, the world’s iron ore industry has seen a very high
level of uncertainty and volatility with prices fluctuating from a low
of US$99 a tonne in September last year to a high of US$155 in
February – so would the iron ore market pullback in the near future?
Americas Iron Ore has become one of the most respected annual
gatherings for North and South American iron ore markets and its
agenda this year will examine the key market trends in 2014 and the
implications of a slowing down of the Chinese economy; it will offer
Vale’s analysis of the industry and an update of the 90mtpa Serra Sul
expansion; it will assess the finance of new mining projects and the
growth of floating prices.
The November event also features a new extensive analysis of the steel
markets in North America and in the Latin American countries and
an in-depth scrutiny of the repercussions of the new regulation for the
iron ore industry in Brazil on new projects and future production.
In addition, delegates will be also able to review some of the current
operations and projects in the region presented by Anglo American,
Arcelor Mittal, Latin Resources, Alderon Iron Ore, Essar Americas
and others.
