Key responsibilities handled
1. Installation during construction
¸ Coordinating fabrication, shell course shifting and erection activities for the static
equipments
¸ Monitoring the job as per ITP and required by client
¸ Reviewing the approval documents about Inspection Test Plan of the project to ensure
inspection shall be in accordance with the required quality standard and procedures
¸ Executing and checking documentation works for static and rotating equipments to
assure that the required forms used in testing submitted are approved by client
representative as per ITP such as:-Installation checklist for static/rotating equipment-
levelling/alignment recording forms for horizontal and vertical package type-Axial/radial,
soft foot parallelism forms for pumps and compressors
¸ Regular surveillance checking at site to verify the preservation requirements for
anchor bolts during construction stage
¸ Checking the preservation status of equipments at site
¸ Obtaining complete check list of the assembling equipment and keep a record of same.
¸ Erection of equipments such as pumps, vessels, tanks and compressors and other
equipments as per the approved method statement
¸ Checking equipment orientation and shimming before and after erection
¸ Check the condition of pump alignment (axial/radial) without piping prior for
preparation for piping installation

2. Pre- Commissioning and commissioning
¸ Preparation of document coding system, defining systems/subsystems, mechanical
completion package, setting milestones
¸ Preparation of commissioning package, procedures and check list of plant system and
sub-system divisions
¸ Inspection of static equipments hydro test and leak test
¸ System wise plant delivery, installation, hook-up and Operations readiness assurance,
operations Readiness assurance plans/methodology/management.
¸ Preparation of punch list and follow up of its completion
¸ Preparation of operation procedure according to the vendor recommendations
¸ Conduction of meetings with sub-contractor for pre-commissioning and commissioning
start-up activities
¸ Reviewing the installed equipment and its accessories as per P&ID
¸ Coordination and interface with other disciplines related issues
¸ Final inspection (Alignment and box up ) of rotary and static equipment
¸ Identification and rectification of start- up problems of rotary equipments
3. Maintenance
¸ Maintenance for different types of static and rotating equipment
¸ Rectification of leaks present at heat exchanger tubes, column vessel and reactor trays
¸ Problem fixing with the help of various measuring tools
¸ Conducting a root cause analysis at the time of breakdown of machines
¸ Recommending alternative solution when the execution of the given design becomes
difficult at site
¸ Tracking the maintenance work orders using SAP software
¸ Planning, preparation and execution of yearly and short term shutdown
