4. IOT is short for Internet of Things
The Internet of Things(IOT) is inter-networking
of physical devices. This system has ability to
transfer data over a network without requiring
human-to-human or human-to-computer
interaction.

monitoring , Transport and logistics etc

• Usually the farmer pumps the water more or less to cultivate
the land which results in a wastage of water.
• So the moisture sensors and humidity sensors help the
farmers to decide the water level for the crops.
• And also these sensors help the crop to grow and weeds to
dry out properly.
• These send an alert message to the farmer when the moisture
level increases or decreases.

10. PEST MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL
WORKS
 Often farmer’s hard work is destroyed by predators(pests) which results in huge
losses to farmers.
 To prevent such a situation the AGRICULTURE INTERNET
OF THINGS has a system that detects the motion of predators
using temperature sensors.
 This information can be used by the farmers to reduce the damage done by
predators.

11. • A sensor that will sense the moisture level in the land (sand) called
a SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR.
• Here we also have a submersible water pump that gets automatically
ON when sufficient water is not present in the field.

12. • The Arduino Uno is an open-source microcontroller board based
on the Microchip ATmega328P microcontroller.
• Both the SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR and LDR SENSOR are
connected to the Arduino to perform an action.

14. DISADVANTAGES:
 If any device in the circuit gets damaged farmer cannot identify it until and
unless he purposefully checks on it.so that will disturb the daily process of
irrigation which will lead to lack of water in the field.
 smart farming continually requires internet connectivity.
 The circuit will get attacked by many networks as it had a very poor security
system.
