• Greece is a country of the
Balkans, in Southeastern
Europe, bordered to the north
by Albania, North Macedonia

the east by the Aegean Sea, to

separates Greece from Italy.

basketball has increased in
popularity. Mountain sports
such as hiking, climbing, and
skiing and hunting are
popular activities too.
Gymnastics is an ancient
sport in Greece, as is
athletics.
