5. This project is aimed to develop
a Medium Density Residential
Development in Randwick with 73
units in total. The proposal has
to comply with SEPP65, BCA and
codes of the local council.
The concept of this project is
"architecure as power of life"
and "private garden". It is aimed
to create enjoyable space that
residents would willing to stay
and explore, and have excitement
within the entire area, as if they
are in playground.
All buildings are built at the edges
of the site so as to create a
main central open area bounded
with some visual blockages.
Intergrated with the dedicated
landscape, buildings and the
level changes, a private garden
is created. The central garden
contains the greatest value and
particular experience and view
corridor to the inhabitants.

6. Artificial landscape is emphasizing
the original natural landscape.
Concrete retaining walls are used
to create a stepped landscape
which follow the flow of the
contour. Most of the trees are
remained in order to minimize
the effect of the natural
existences. The landscape become
the important part of the central
communal open space that gives
richness to resident.
The building footprint composition
is also take reference to the
landscape and contour.

12. This Project is to design a public bath
at the coastal line in La Perouse on a
unique landscape. The primary material
is timber.
The concept of the Congwong Bay
Swimming Centre in La Perouse is
secret paradise that containing the best
views in Congwong Bay and the favour
of sun light. It is an architecture in
timber. The design idea is to merge the
architecture into the landscape that the
building follows the cliff, meanwhile it
is orientated toward different angle in
order to maximise the possible views in
that area. By using the natural bushes
at the edge of the cliff, it is easy to
create privacy and also the sense of
secret with their obstruction of views.
Louvers are installed in contrast to
the bushes to create the tension of
attraction by curiosity. With this setting,
it is a good place to swim, to relax,
to have sun-bath, and to get in touch
with nature.

18. This project is to renovate a classical
building into a modern disco which contains
local qualities in a suburb with high
historical values, Parramatta.
The concept of this project is to create
a place that people can show themselves
freely, energetic and share their interest,
and, eventually, something new and specific
can come up there.
The idea of line movement, that symbolizes
the energy, movement and distortion, is
used as the language in the design of
space and architectural elements. People
will be interested by the shifting of levels
and complex circulations, which offer
different moods from different point of
views. The main idea drived by that is the
building showing the importance around the
site, in regard to urban context, by the
building shape and views. The concept of
distortion helps to create new possibility in
programmetic arrangement, spatial quality
and circulation, and also give diversity to
the context.

25. DESIGN HUB IN SYDNEY
This project is to design a medium
rise complex with public areas, study
areas, studio spaces and student
accommodations in the CBD of Sydney.
After the site visit and analysis, Sydney
city seems to be lacking of 'innovation',
'self-feature' and 'Meaning', as the
buildings have almost the same facade,
especially on George Street. Due to this,
the concept of this project is 'building as
a starting point of innovation and change
of the city and people'.
The design used so-called 'line
movement' as a language though out the
entire building. The language is derived
from the works of Enric Miralles and
Carme Pinos, which focus on how the
line generates form and movement. The
main precedents for this projects are Vigo
University Campus by Enric Miralles and
Cube Tower by Carme Pinos.
26. DESIGN HUB IN SYDNEY
The main feature of this
project is the 'Mixed
Studios' which consists of
a 2-storeys level with all
the working spaces and
green space below and
accommodations on the top
of them. It is , in other
words, like a 'treehouse
in jungle'.
28. DESIGN HUB IN SYDNEY
Generally, the programme
arrangement is on a 'public
to private' approach, public at
the bottom and private above,
with a outdoor garden, which
separates the public area below
and the more private area above,
on mid-level by lifting the
upper part of the building. The
garden act as a meeting space
of the students of Design Hub
and the public as well. Office
is organised on the top of the
building so that it can have the
best condition of privacy and
daylight access.
