6. What is tableau ?
Tableau is a powerful and fastest growing data visualization tool used in the Business
Intelligence Industry. It helps in simplifying raw data into the very easily understandable
format.
Data analysis is very fast with Tableau and the visualizations created are in the form of
dashboards and worksheets.
The data that is created using Tableau can be understood by professional at any level in an
organization.
It allows a non-technical user to create a customized dashboard.

Data blending
Data Blending is a very powerful feature in Tableau. It is used when there is related data in multiple data
sources, which you want to analyze together in a single view.
12. Data Massage
Data massage is a process of applying cleaning operations such as filtering, adding,
renaming, splitting, grouping, or removing fields.
For complex datasets need advanced data cleaning operation, we can go with Tableau
Prep tool.
14. Workbook creation
Dimensions (blue) are categorical fields. They are the labels in a visualization, the buckets
that data falls into such as locations, product names, etc.
Measures (green) are quantitative fields. They are the axes in a visualization, the numbers
that can be analyzed, such as price and counts of records.
Show Me can be accessed in the upper right corner of the screen. With field(s)
selected, Show Me offers one-click options for chart types
15. Dashboard creation
A dashboard is a collection of different kinds of visualizations or views that we create
on Tableau.
We can bring together different elements of multiple worksheets and put them on a
single dashboard.
We can place relevant charts and graphs in one view and analyze them for better
insights.
16. Story creation
Use stories to make your case more compelling by showing how facts are connected, and how
decisions relate to outcomes. You can then publish your story to the web or present it to an
audience.
Each story point can be based on a different view or dashboard, or the entire story can be
based on the same visualization seen at different stages, with different filters and annotations.
