To Whom It May Concern
During the summer of 2012, I had the opportunity of having Kamrun Samadnejad in the CEO Academy which is
sponsored by the Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida and Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast
University. The CEO Academy is a one week camp to help prepare young aspiring entrepreneurs to be the outstanding
business leaders and CEOs of tomorrow. Through a selection process, CEO Academy participants are chosen from the top
high school students in our tri-county area. During the week, students work in project teams to develop a unique business
concept. Friday morning, student teams present their business plans and marketing packages to a panel of Junior
Achievement Laureates, who have been recognized for their exceptional practices in entrepreneurship.
I had the pleasure of working with these students all week as their designated leader from the Lutgert College of Business.
Although all of the students did an outstanding job, Kamrun’s team did an excellent job. I still remember their creative
video they presented at the end of their presentation. I was extremely impressed by Kamrun’s engagement with his team
and the class during the entire week. He clearly knew the research and could explain their assumptions without hesitation
and more importantly, without looking at his notes. His presentation and responses to the judges were excellent. It was
obvious to everyone that Kamrun is a young man who is extremely capable, poised and mature for his age. I believe he
has the potential to be an outstanding leader in the future.
I also understand Kamrun went to a Business Plan Competition at Palm Beach Atlantic University on January 24, 2013
and placed 3rd
place, winning $250. His business idea was a software that could be downloaded onto a smartphone to
prevent the usage of the cellphone while driving which was a continuation from the CEO Academy. This is an especially
important product given our recent concern with texting and driving, especially for young adults.
