 Complete annualhealth screenings according to state mandate to include growth, hearing and vision screenings.
 Review all student immunization records to ensure compliance with state requirements.
 Administer medications as per physician’s orders.
 Prepare field trips and ensure medicalneeds are met for students with special needs.
 Educate teachers and staff on allergy, asthma, and other disease processes including diabetes, anaphylaxis and
epilepsy/seizure.
 Complete action plans for allergies to include food, latex, bee/insect, and milk as well as diabetes and seizures.
 Provide hands on ostomy care as needed.
 Provide emergency care for injuries sustained during school hours to both students and staff.
 Liaison between parent,guidance counselor, principaland teaching staff, including completion of IEP’s,chapter
15 and 501 plans.
 Provide diabeticcare as needed per physician order.
 Complete other duties as requested and directed by building principal.
 Utilize Microsoft word for reports, Outlook for email, and E-school program for medical documentation for all
students.
