**I have worked for the Cape May County Department of Health
in the Accounting / Administrative Services Division for 13 years. (2002-2015)
My main duty for the last 6 years there was Purchasing (Agency Buyer),
however, through those 13 years, I have also had the opportunity to learn and
perform other numerous Administrative/Clerical/ Clinical/ Finance duties
which I have been cross trained. I have also trained various coworkers of
such duties.
(This Public Health Dept is located in Cape May Court House, New Jersey)
**On April 30, 2015, I had moved to Parsonsburg, Maryland. There, I had obtained
employment with State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene –working
at the Worcester County Health Department
(A State Agency) in the Administrative Division as the Purchaser (Agency Buyer) for 10
Public Health Department sites located within Worcester County. I had worked here from
Dec 8, 2015- July 17, 2016.
( I moved to North Carolina on July 18, 2016.)

My Experience/Skills – SUMMARY:
Purchasing Agent- Agency Buyer purchasing all supplies needed for the operation
of Public Health departments- including Vaccines all the way to
office supplies.
Public assistance - which involved providing general information, via phones, in
person, emails, advertising and bulk mailings; as well as other confidential
information using HIPPA Compliancy.
*Receiving money from patients getting medical services at the cashier window,
including public misc payments of Water Testing, Well and Septic Permits,
inspection fees, ect…
Entering, reconciling and closing out the monies received by our accounting dept
on a daily basis.
*Submitting daily financial depositreports to Treasury Dept.
*Assisting the public by supplying appropriate forms that need to be filled out -
which included assisting them on how to properly fill them out as needed.
This included keeping a stocksupply of such charts/forms in the office.
*Answering phones, which included actie listening- screening, answering general
questions and/or transferring the call to the appropriate department or employees.

*I have listed a more detailed list of what actual duties I performed
while spending many years at the County of Cape May Health Dept. (I
included it “just in case it may help you decide” if I may be a good
person to consider for this postion…) Thank You!
• Create / submit purchase order requisitions and partial payment vouchers to
the purchasing department – using the as-400 computer program.
• Create / submit county vouchers for payments to the Treasury office – to be
turned in for bi-weekly freeholder meetings. (County Commisioner Mtgs).
• Making purchases for the county health dept , - (using PO’s and my county
issued credit card.)-approving and moving each procurement card
transaction through the (BOA) Bank of America program.
• Submitting monthly reports of the credit card use to the Treasury Dept.
• Accounts payable – paying all the health departments monthly bills.
• Accounts receivable / billing / billing: for Environmental Health services,
Child Health Clinic services, Family Planning / birth controlservices, and
other various clinics. Rebilling monthly, collection calls, creating /
maintaining patients financial charts to meet the standards of the county
auditors. Reimbursement Vouchers and doing adjustments in the FGA billing
program. monthly financial reports and quarterly bad debts turn into the
director of the division.
• Encumbering money and submitting partial payments to treasury in order to
pay the doctors, nurse practioners, and any other professional consultants
that come to the health department and render professional services for the
clinics offered.
• Maintain Contracts – between the county and the professional consultants,
doctor’sect….. keeping their licences, liability insurance certificates, ect..
current.
• I have experience in working the following clinics that are held in our health
department which includes working greatly with the public: women’s BCCI/
CEED Clinic, Men’s Prostate Clinic, Lipids Clinic, PPD Clinic, TB- Chest
Clinic, Child Health Clinic, STD clinics and numerous Flu Clinics (giving
out flu shots to the county residents annually).
• I have backed up fellow co-workers duties while they were temporarily out
on leave: environmental services clerk; family planning clerk and nursing
division clerk. (crosstrained)
• Payroll for health department
• Working with the public - Customer service. dealing with the public in a
professional manner daily as well as answering many Phone calls that come
into the health dept.
• Constantly reviewing budget line items to make sure there is enough money
in the budget before making any purchases, and assigning them properGL
#’s.
• Contacting new vendors to obtain their w-9 forms, contact name, address,
phone, ect…information needed to have them built as a vendor in the county
database.
• Copying the health departments daily cash deposit. Submitting it to treasury.
• Tracking the dental grant professional services provided, using a spreadsheet
and budget reports to make sure we don’tgo over budget while spending on
the grant.
