JOB DESCRIPTION
BASIC PURPOSE
Thispositionwill provide compensationconsultingservicestoassignedunits/teams;it will provide
analytical andsystemsupporttothe NA RewardsTeamand P&Ofor keycompensationprocesses;and
contribute to the formulationandgeneral administration of the NA compensationpoliciesand
guidelineswiththe objective of promotingeffective recruitment,retentionandengagementof Mars Inc.
associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage jobevaluationactivitiesinaccordance withMars Joband Pay Frameworkphilosophyto
determine the appropriate jobaddress(Function,FamilyandLevel) andpayrange.
Participate inexternal surveysandconductmarketanalysis(benchmarking) toestablishcompetitive
collective payanddetermine appropriate individualtotal compensationforassociates.
Establish,plananddeliverkeyannual compensationprocessesincludingSalaryStructure Development,
the Merit Increase Cycle andIncentive PlanPayoutwithgovernanceinARES.
Manage Rewards'systemsusedinannual compensationprocessesensuringthe necessarydataisset-
up,stored,and maintainedcorrectlyforthe RewardsTeamtoleverage.
Performin-depthanalysistocreate annual meritmatrices,position tomarketreportsandactions,
appropriate levelsof geographicdifferentials,andreportsonmarkettrends.
Participate inthe Annual PayPlanningprocessutilizingARES todevelopAVPplanswhichmeasure and
rewardassociatesbasedonachievementof businessobjectives.
Responsible forinterpretingCHRISreports andmarketstatistical datato make compensationdecisions.
Assistinthe designof newand/orrevisedrewardsprograms,guidelines,andpolicies.
Developanddeliverycompensationtraining andcommunicationforP&Oasneeded.
Manage regularinternal jobaudits.

- Purchases and participatesinrelevantsurveysanddeterminesjobmatches
- DeterminesFunction,Family,LevelandPayRange forjobs
- Providespayrecommendationsforindividual associatesforlevelsbelow P3/T4
- Interpretsglobal andregional guidelineswhenmakingcompensationdecisionsforclientgroups
- Has the authoritytoprocessesthousandsof AVPpayments,payincreases,lump-sumpayments,etc.
- Questionsandescalates dataintegrity issues
- Recommendsandimplements compensation processimprovements andchangesinmethodology
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training
Minimum:
- Bachelor’sdegree inhumanresources,finance,accounting,orrelatedfield.
- Advancedproficiencyinthe MS Office Suite,specificallyExcel,PowerPoint,andWord
Related Experience/Requirements:
Minimum:
- 3-5 yearsprofessionalcompensationexperienceorequivalentP&OorFinance internal
experience
- Excellentanalytical andquantitative skills;demonstratedthroughpreviousjob
- Comfortable workingwithstatistical techniques,suchasregressionanalysis
- Excellentwrittenandverbal communicationskillstopresentcomplexconceptsandtechnical
issuesina straightforwardmanner
- Approximately10%travel
Preferred:
- SAPsystemexperience
- Understandingof jobclassification andemploymentlaw
- Knowledgeof externalsurveysourcesandtools
- Experience workingwithorapplyingthe JobandPay Framework
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
