I am engaged in a doctoral programme in the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology at the University of Kent, having previously completed a Masters in Conservation and Rural Development within the same department, and having already a degree in Ecology and a postgraduate diploma in GIS. My Masters thesis research brought me to northern Gabon to conduct fieldwork with inhabitants of indigenous Baka villages regarding their use of non-timber forest products. My PhD will loosely continue elements of this theme and is currently being restructured. The research is being funded by a University of Kent 50th Anniversary Scholarship.
