Katharine	has	been	an	absolute	pleasure	to	work	with	during	her	summer	internship	at	
FarmedHere/87P.	She	was	always	willing	to	contribute,	work	hard,	and	finish	the	task	at	hand.	
During	her	internship	she	was	open	to	learning	new	skills,	new	ways	of	thinking,	and	to	working	
on	projects	that	were	out	of	her	comfort	zone.	Always	contributing	but	remaining	open	to	the	
ideas	of	others,	Katharine	is	able	to	collaborate	and	ideate	very	well.	Gaining	experience	in	
many	different	areas	(marketing,	sales,	event	planning,	and	social	media)	with	a	fast	paced	
start-up,	Katharine	has	been	able	to	experience	multiple	facets	of	a	company	and	how	all	the	
areas	integrate	together.		Katharine	has	a	very	promising	future	and	with	her	personality,	skills,	
and	work	ethic	will	be	able	to	excel	at	whatever	she	chooses.	She	should	be	very	proud	of	all	
the	work	that	she	accomplished	during	her	short	period	of	time	with	FarmedHere/87P.	
	
Tasks/Projects	
		
Social	Media	
• Researched	latest	trends	in	social	media/food	space	
• Brainstorm	content	ideas	for	multiple	platforms		
• Planned	out	a	social	media	shoot	day	
• Assisted	in	staging	and	editing	photos	
• Created	social	media	calendar	for	Marketing	Director	
• Crafted	captions	for	social	media	photos	and	selected	strategic	hashtags	for	each	
photo	
• Maintained	day	to	day	social	media	tasks	like	commenting,	retweeting,	and	liking	
other	business/follower	content	
• Managed	company’s	social	media	dashboard,	Hootsuite,	and	was	in	charge	of	
uploading	and	scheduling	content	for	all	platforms
Marketing		
• Designed	marketing	collateral	for	United	Fresh	tradeshow	
• Designed	business	cards	in	InDesign	program	
• Created	CRM	(Customer	Relationship	Management),	which	helped	launch	and	track	
data	for	the	new	Merchandising	Program	implemented	by	CEO	&	Director	of	Sales	
• Strategized	and	planned	logistics	for	new	merchandising	program,	as	requested	by	
CEO	
• Gathered	and	synthesized	merchandiser	reports	into	a	concise	summary	for	
executive	team:	President,	CEO,	COO,	and	CTO		
• Provided	assistance	to	the	President	with	her	project	of	creating	a	company	wall	
with	photos	and	fun	captions	for	all	employees		
• Sat	in	on	meeting	with	SPINs,	the	leading	provider	of	retail	consumer	insights	and	
analytics,	and	gained	valuable	insight	into	various	marketing	data	and	tools			
• Assisted	in	leading	the	training	for	the	newly	hired	merchandising	team		
	
Sales	
• Collaborated	with	Director	of	Sales	at	FarmedHere	&	Director	of	Sales	at	87P	to	
upload	new	leads	from	United	Fresh	tradeshow	into	Zoho	CRM	
• Researched	various	sites	to	generate	new	leads	for	FarmedHere		
	
Events	
• Worked	with	FarmedHere	retailer,	Whole	Foods	Cicero,	to	help	plan	a	cooking	class	
for	15	people	
• Assisted	Director	of	Product	Development	&	Director	of	Sales	in	planning,	executing,	
and	working	the	tradeshow	booth	at	the	United	Fresh	Tradeshow	at	McCormick	
Place	
• Conversed	with	Director	of	Marketing	and	FarmedHere	retailers	to	coordinate	in-	
store	demos	to	help	boost	product	sales	
• Helped	prepare	for	Purple	Asparagus	charity	event	by	creating	social	media	posts,	
prepping	product	donation,	and	coordinating	logistics	of	event	with	the	Operations	
Intern

• Worked	a	day	on	the	farm	with	the	grow	team	to	see	how	the	farm	operates	from	
seed	to	harvest	
• Attended	meeting	lead	by	CEO	regarding	the	recent	merger	of	FarmedHere/87P,	
rebranding	process,	and	upcoming	vision	for	the	new	company	
• Visited	87P	juice	plant.	Got	the	behind	the	scenes	look	at	the	private	label	juice	
company	that	just	merged	with	FarmedHere
