1. Building the group
A noun group can be a single word – King.
Or it can be expanded to provide a lengthy description - The powerful King ruled over the
entire society.
Using noun groups helps you develop chunks of information in your writing
In class we are studying the question “how were people in Medieval Europe were
governed?”. Some people may answer this question with People in Medieval Europe were
governed by the King and the Church. This is correct but it does not go into much detail. By
using more nouns we are able to extend our writing and make it more informative.
