Design and Manage eCommerce Systems for Western Apparel Stores
Based upon business goals set by Executive Management, designed and implement web solution with social
media integration. Responsible for implementation/management of: Website Application, In-House POS
Systems, Catalog Content Management & Photography, Customer Relationship System, Vendor Contracts &
Pricing Agreements, Payment Gateway Processors. Actively work to incorporate branding co-op agreements
to minimize expense of product sales. Over 7,000 products managed in the web catalog. Sales throughout
the US, Canada, and Australia.
Implement and Maintain Marketing Applications and Social Media Tools
In conjunction with a web solution, a Marketing Strategy was developed to include print advertising, social
media campaigns, Elite Customer Care Programs. Annual budget process implemented. Coordinate with
vendors of these services.
Implement & Manage Retail Systems
Responsible for full suite of Retail Applications and Financial System, for two retail stores, with combined
sales over $9M, employing over 100 diverse resources. In addition to systems and vendor management,
responsible for tracking compliance with PCI regulations, credit cards processors and B2B partners,
contracts, insurance and taxing authorities.
Upgrade General Offices, Back Office Applications
Responsible review of organizations’ current state, needs analysis, and solutions for back office functions for
two store locations in South Texas. Direct and ensure completion of general office duties: Accounts Payable,
Negotiation of Credit Terms & Vendor Agreements, Financial Systems and CPA interface regarding tax filing
and compliance, Sale Tax System, Workers’ Compensation Compliance, Medical Insurance and Supplemental
Insurance Programs.
Implement Human Resource Systems and Processes
Responsible for design and implementation of Human Resource System and Best Business Practices across
the enterprise of six clothing stores. Project involved over 250 employees. Upon completion of the project,
all stores were equipped with a full Human Resource Department, including tools for Job Grades and
Matrices, Job Descriptions, Operational Manuals, TWC Compliance Reporting, Workers’ Comp Insurance
Program, Safety Manuals, Performance Evaluation Systems and Official Policy Manuals and Employee
Training Programs. Segment of Arbitration Policy was basis of Texas Supreme Court case victory for
enforcement of Arbitration Policy.
Implemented Distributed Retail Management Systems For National Firm
Client is the second-largest pawnshop corporation in the US, with approximately 300 locations in 12 states.
Our project was a hierarchical set of applications implemented across the company to collect, process and
distribute inventory availability, competitive rate information and cash-management data. Project concluded
with two major achievements: 1) delivery of a consolidated data warehouse system with information from
each location and 2) the activation of discrete web browsers to support the need for immediate pricing
contracts to clients.
Develop Future-State Plan for Railway Transportation Company
Client operates the largest rail business in North America, covering 28 states and two Canadian provinces.
The project evaluated the ‘current and future state’ of the rail operating systems/hardware. A strategic
analysis, risk assessment and tactical roadmap were delivered.

VicePresident,InformationServices 10/1998–02/2000
Managed Information Services Division for Compass Group North America ($4B revenue, 100K employees),
withan annual I/S operating budget of $45M. Responsible forNorth American center for all business and core
applications, technical support services, business analysts teams, network/communication infrastructure and
largedatacenterinCharlotteNC. Supportingover27,000users. Responsibleforregionaldatacenters andstaff
intwelvecentersthroughouttheUnitedStates.
Responsible for divisions of Systems Services, Data Center Services, Technical Services, Quality Assurance,
Change Management and Corporate Call Center, employing between 300-450 skilled resources, business
analysts, change agents and external consultants. Serves as North American Representative on International
Technology Council based in the UK.
Responsible for $30M ERP project replacing all corporate legacy systems with the SAP suite of applications.
Directed the design and creation of new data centers, defined disaster recovery processes and updated
communication services to support the SAP new infrastructure. I was awarded the 1999
Smithsonian/Computer World Technology Excellence for this series of projects.
Implemented B2B process/systems for the corporate treasury department, human resource department and
purchasing division utilizing both EDI and SAP e-business functions. Approximately 85K employees covered
by 450+ unions were involved in this project.
Delivered B2C functionality for the vending/retail division and major clients for financial transactions and
order fulfillment processes. Reported in ‘dotted-line’ relationship to VP of Vending Services during this
project. Project collected sales, inventory, and machine statistics through hand-held entry and with DEX
automatic collection techniques for over 80K vending machines throughout the US. This information created
the first enterprise data warehouse of the vending business and customer metadata.
Defined requirements, selected service providers and negotiated corporate agreements for nationally
outsourced I/T areas, including P/C desktop services, system administration and hardware purchasing.
Managed disaster recovery processes for both I/T and essential communication requirements.
Implemented Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for the Vending Services division. A new
mobile computing platform was implemented for the Marketing and Sales departments. Information
collected in this project became the basis for automated purchasing of vending product, as well as a schedule
optimizer for the vending truck fleet (7th
largest in the US).
Managed central and distributed I/T systems for franchise partners, providing a computing environment in
accordance with service level agreements. Planned and managed business continuance plan for these clients.
As North American representative on the Global I/S Executive Council created and managed the Global

Directed the design and creation of new data centers, defined disaster recovery processes and updated communication services to support the SAP new infrastructure. I was awarded the 1999 Smithsonian/Computer World Technology Excellence for this series of projects. Implemented B2B process/systems for the corporate treasury department, human resource department and purchasing division utilizing both EDI and SAP e-business functions. Approximately 85K employees covered by 450+ unions were involved in this project. Delivered B2C functionality for the vending/retail division and major clients for financial transactions and order fulfillment processes. Reported in ‘dotted-line’ relationship to VP of Vending Services during this project. Project collected sales, inventory, and machine statistics through hand-held entry and with DEX automatic collection techniques for over 80K vending machines throughout the US. This information created the first enterprise data warehouse of the vending business and customer metadata. Defined requirements, selected service providers and negotiated corporate agreements for nationally outsourced I/T areas, including P/C desktop services, system administration and hardware purchasing. Managed disaster recovery processes for both I/T and essential communication requirements. Implemented Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for the Vending Services division. A new mobile computing platform was implemented for the Marketing and Sales departments. Information collected in this project became the basis for automated purchasing of vending product, as well as a schedule optimizer for the vending truck fleet (7th largest in the US).
