Kelli Martinez exceeded all metrics and expectations in her role with Mothers Against Drunk Driving East Texas from April 2014 to March 2015. She served over 600 parents and 7,900 students, surpassing goals by 21% and 14% respectively. She successfully planned and executed numerous educational and fundraising events, recruiting new volunteers, sponsors, and participants. All events she oversaw raised funds well above projections, with one increasing participation by 64% and funds by 77%.

HopkinsCountyWalkLike MADD launchedin2013 as an unbudgetedWalkinaBox. I
successfullysurpassedthe initialgoal of $7,500 before the event. We raisedthe goal to $10,000
and successfullyreachedthe $10,000 goal by the endof the eventperiod.
In 2014, I rebuiltthe HopkinsCountyWalkLike MADDCommittee. Ireorganizedthe committee
to consistof CommunityLeadersandBusinessOriented individuals. Bymanagingthe
committee in2014 and withthe restructure of the committee members;thishasledtoa
volunteerdriveneventinsteadof astaff drivenevent.
I continuedthe expansionof the committeeinHopkinsCountyin2015 withnew
victim/volunteersandbusinessleaders.
In 2014, I successfullyrecruitedapresentingsponsorforthe HopkinsCountyWalkLike MADDin
the amountof $2,500.00. Thisisthe firsttime inrecentyearsthata walkinour Affiliate hashad
a presentingsponsoratthe topdollaramount. Additionally,thisisthe largestdonationfora
walkthe Affiliatehasreceivedoverthe $2,000.00 amount.
In 2014, HopkinsCountyWalkLike MADD surpasseditsgoal of $10,000.00 witha total amount
raisedof $13,075.00. This isa 77% increase overthe projectedbudgetamount.

volunteers.
In January2015, I successfullywasable tohave the 2014 HopkinsCountyWalkLike MADD
sponsordouble theirsponsorshipdollarsfrom$2,500.00 to $5,000.00. Additionally,the
presentingsponsorSulphurSpringsDodge hasdonated$10,000 of in-kindmediaforCrime
VictimsWeekApril 19-25,2015.
In January2015, I successfullywasable tohave pastsponsorAlliance Bankincrease their
sponsorshipdollarsfrom$1,000.00 to $1,500.00.
In 2015, from January20, 2015 to April 14, 2015 I have successfullyraisedover$15,000.00 for
the two walksIoversee.
In 2015, I implementedCommunityProjectsforboththe HopkinsCountyWalkLike MADDand
the BeaumontWalkLike MADD in orderto demonstrate thatthe MADD East TexasAffiliate
givesbackto theircommunities.
On July9, 2014 I agreedto take overthe Gun Barrel CityWalk Like MADD. At thisdate the walk
had raised$800.00 and had nocommittee tooversee the event. Iwasable to rebuilda
committee with8newvolunteersforcommittee positionsandsub-committeepositions.
Renamedthe GunBarrel CityWalkLike MADD to HendersonCountyWalkLike MADD inorderto
encompassentire communityperrequestof pastandnew sponsors.
Successfullyrecruitedbackpastsponsorof HendersonCountyWalkLike MADD,Jeff Weinstein.
Jeff hadpreviouslystatedhe wouldnolongerparticipateinevent. Afterthe meetingJeff agreed
to increase hissponsorshipfrom$1,000.00 to $1,500.00 (66.7% increase) andagreedtositon
the committee asSocial MediaCommittee Chair.
To celebrate 5th
Anniversaryof HendersonCountyWalkLike MADDI createda successful
memorial andpublicrelationsevent. MADDEast Texasdonated(5) AutumnBlaze Maple trees
to CainCenterinAthens, TX. Thisideawill alsobe an ongoingeventforall walksinthe Affiliate
whocelebrate their5th
year.
In July2014, The HendersonCountyWalkLike MADDhad $800 raisedforthe event. Atthe end
of October2014, the eventclosedoutata total of over$14,700.00. This equaled tothe amount
of over$13,900 raisedwithina4 monthperiod.
In 2014, both HopkinsCountyandHendersonCountyWalkLike MADDeventscame under
budgetedexpenses.
I have overseenatotal of 3 walkssince employmentandall 3have come inovergoal.
In January2015, I tookoverthe BeaumontWalkLike MADD event. Ihave beenable to recruit
back past victim/volunteers. Since January20,2015 I have collectedatotal of $3,100.00 forthe
BeaumontWalkLike MADD event.
I successfullycollectedapastdue amountof $1,500.00 from CushmanWakefieldforthe 2014
walkeventandcollected the fundsonApril 6,2015 and appliedthe amountstothe 2015 walk
event.
I oversawthe researchandstrategyfor the MADD East TexasAffiliate for2015 Legislative Dayin
AustinandassistedourState Executive Director,Jaime Gutierrezwithresearchand strategies.
