If a fire is seen, tell staff to call a "Code Red" and remember the acronym "RACE" - Rescue, Alarm, Contain, Extinguish/Evacuate. Fire extinguishers are located in procedure rooms and hallways, and can be operated using the PASS method of Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep. In the event of a fire alarm or disaster, staff should report to the front office for instructions, where the Director of Clinical Operations will oversee from the Command Post. Evacuation routes are the front, double rear doors if necessary. The fire/disaster drill is over when the alarm stops and an all clear is announced.
