Reduced Recordable Rates, Lost Time Rates and Vehicle Accident by
50% each year.
In July of 2010 93% of all IES authorized drivers had perfect driving
records over 3 year period in the State of Florida.
Made Business Disaster Coordinator over all offices across U.S. Wrote
Disaster Plan for Hurricanes procedures for before, during and after
hurricanes impacted any business area.
Built training videos including writing, photographing and producing videos
in 4 different categories within IES New Employee Orientation Training.
Reduced Workers Compensation Reserve amounts by $125,000 in first
six months of employment then work on closing out claims which resulted
in more cost savings.
Started off as Division Safety Manager over our IES Miami Branch
location then became Manager over State of Florida within first year of
employment.
15 months after being hired promoted to Southeast Regional Safety
Manager with 4 Division Safety Managers reporting directly to me. Area of
coverage covered all of Eastern Seaboard States and included 4 Gulf
States.
State of Florida reached 4 years since last Lost Time Accident.
November 2010 State of Florida reached 5 million man hours without Lost
Time Accident.
IES State of Florida offices went 16 months without a Recordable
Accident after averaging a Recordable once a month in 2007.
Started building strong Safety Culture with front line Supervisors by
earning trust and respect then supervision helped Field Employees build
strong Safety Culture by leading by example.
Worked with Field Staff in action plans for all aspects of work using
employee’s ideals whenever possible while making sure those employees
received recognition for action plans. This is the foundation in building a
mindset of thinking Safety First.
Earned Power of One Award for Going Above and Beyond in the field of
Safety. Earned this award by finding ways to improve Safety while
Increasing Production.
Have continued to achieve all Safety Goals with increase pressure for
production due to current economic problem which has affected

2. 2005 – 2007 Engineering Safety Consultants San Antonio, TX
Safety Consultant Gulf of Mexico
Shortly after hurricanes Katharine and Rita started working on Oil Platform
damage assessments on all platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
Built action plan with repair crews on repairing platforms damage both
below water as well as above water.
Worked with all crews and crafts and oversaw safety of repairs on 18
platforms.
Coordinated with removal of all damaged material while maintaining all
Federal Safety and Environmental agencies. Controlled all documentation
of manifest of materials coming to and from land including all Hazardous
Materials and manifest.
Build action plans for Primary and Secondary Platform Assembly points
and Life Boat assignments. Then held drills every month with crews with
different emergency drills and action plans for different scenarios.
Maintained zero Recordables/Lost Time incidents as well as zero
Reportable Spills.
Built action plans with dive crews for underwater repairs with backup
plans and systems. Maintained zero diving incidents while doing any
underwater repairs.
Monitored weather patterns and built action plans on sheltering in place
when winds or weather shut down boating and flying operations. Had to
pre-plan for weather conditions which involved maintaining water, food
and waste for several days at times.

Built new Safety Manual as company was bought out with first few
months.
Build Online Training system with I.T. team for employee New Hire
Training as well as employee re-training.
Built paperless employee data base with I.T. team which tracked all
employees training records, medical records and all safety related
documentation.
Greatly reduced both Recordable Rate as well as lowering E.M.R. score
each year.
Built and trained Supervisor continuous education training which was held
all managers and supervisors each month.
Built action plan and then put into action $44 million dollar lead abatement
job which required complete removal of all lead base paint on oil platform,
then repainted platform.
Built complete Lead Protection Plan including air monitoring as well as
employee Lead exposure. Zero Lead exposure during entire duration of
project.
Worked on multiple hazardous material removal projects which required
testing, action planning to eliminate exposures to employees, provided
proper training and medical screening.
Worked many different crafts directly or supported other crafts.
Built training program for coming to provide Confine Space Attendants
and Fire Watch Attendants.

3. Oversaw over 700 employees during 3 month outage of entire plant has
Head of Safety. 7 Safety Techs reported directly to me during this outage.
200 Confine Space and Fire Watch Attendants without any fires or confine
space incidents.
Entire project was completed without a Recordable or Lost Time incident.
This allowed all employees to receive Safety Bonus. 1 of 4 companies to
achieve this out of 16 companies.
1989 - 1999 Brand Scaffold Inc. Corpus Christi, TX
Green Helper to Project Manager
Started with company on first day it was opened as a Green Helper.
Quickly moved up within the company Helper to Project Manager with 4
years.
Estimated projects and won several bids which I then managed from
beginning to end.
Never had one project lose money and took over projects that where
losing money and turned them into profit making sites.
Drew and designed scaffolds that would require engineer stamp in order
to meet OSHA compliance. Later designs scaffold that engineer stamped
without adding anything to design.
Worked with Safety Department on safety committee which led me to
learn more about OSHA regulations in scaffolding.
Received OSHA Training and later received OSHA 10 AND 30 hour
training.
