Responsibilities
• Advise and assist line management in developing and maintaining
documentation for the section’s trackless management system.
• Auditing of the section’s trackless management system and advising line
management on the necessary corrective action.
• Inspection of all aspects of underground and surface operations with
regards to safe working conditions and practices.
• Advise on relevant trackless regulations, educate and motivate employees.
• Coordinates and plays an advisory role that lends to quality sectional
trackless meetings .Generation of data and analysis of quality statistical
trackless information that inform decision making. Regular assessment of
the section’s preparedness for handling emergency situations and
subsequent coaching. Initiate sectional safety campaigns directed at
motivating employees. Facilitate the accident investigation process and
provide guidance to ensure underlying issues are attended to.
• Identifying safety training needs for the section and in liaison with the
relevant personnel motivate for the necessary training to be provided.
• Providing Working knowledge of Root Cause Analyses
• Planning for health and safety including the setting of realistic short and
long-term objectives, deciding priorities and establishing adequate
systems and performance standards. Day-to-day implementation and
monitoring of policy and plans, including accident and incident
