Introduction to Buried Treasures of the Web Writing this book has been a great pleasure; I call it the joy of discovery. As I researched and identified these buried treasures of the web, I enjoyed getting lost in a positive way. A captivating website would lure me in for a fascinating adventure, or an app would make my photos become more accessible while taking me back in time, or a video would help explain the unexplainable. Being on the Internet for many years, we know it’s an indispensable tool for most people and almost an appendage for many. However, most people tend to just go to the same sites over and over again. The point of this book is to expose you to hundreds of new and exciting sites, apps and videos.
