  1. Good Afternoon, Everyone! I’m very pleased to see you here today. The goal of this seminar is to provide practical and useful information to help you lead happier and healthier lifestyles and to make a change in your life! Who in this room is going to make a positive change this year to their health?

  3. Health is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity but 100% optimal functioning. The state of optimal physical, emotional, biochemical and social well being.
  4. Man made chemicals produce toxins in your system. Some of the major causes of toxins are preservatives, drugs, food additives, antibiotics, hormones and pesticides. All of the above are in many of the foods we eat. Look at the LABELS. Eat whole foods.
  5. If your doctor does not prescribe it, you probably do not need it. Symptoms are not necessarily bad. They are indicators that there is an underlying problem.
  6. All of you have eaten foods with all of the above from time to time, maybe a lot, if you could see inside your cells…
  7. Inside of all grocery stores, markets and health food stores wheat is everywhere. It is in almost every packaged food to some degree. The public is not informed of the serious dangers of this ‘common food’. The role of wheat in human disease is not apparent, but it is there and big as life! The hypnotic and addictive properties of this grain are creating serious health problems most unknown. You’ve heard of those sayings this is your brain on drugs? Well this is your body on wheat.

  15. The body needs to have a balanced pH to fight disease. Over acidity, which can become a dangerous condition that weakens all body systems, is very common today. It gives rise to an internal environment conducive to disease, as opposed to a pH balanced environment which allows normal body function necessary for the body to resist disease. A healthy body maintains adequate alkaline reserves to meet emergency demands. When excess acids must be neutralized our alkaline reserves are depleted leaving the body in a weakened condition. A pH balanced diet, according to many experts, is a vital key to health maintenance.
  16. Look for the serving size, calories, the amount of sugar and sodium. The ingredients must be listed in descending order. The rule of thumb is if you can’t pronounce it do not eat it. The worst additives are artificial flavorings, colorings and sweeteners, BHT, BHA and TBHQ, Brominated Vegetable Oil, High Fructose Corn Syrup, MSG, Olestra Shortening, Hydrogenated and Partially Hydrogenated Oils, Sodium Nitrate, and Nitrate.

Your body gets tired of eating the same food over and over again. Your body needs variety. Variety is the key to good health.

  22. Aging is an inevitability that each of us face from the cradle to the grave. For centuries, the general population has been preoccupied with the aging process and "showing their age." Likewise, the scientific community has been preoccupied with researching the aging process. The maximum life span for humans appears to be about 120 years. Reaching that potential involves reducing the causes of all premature death, which is the responsibility of every person whose goal is to increase their longevity or reverse the aging process (anti-aging). The term anti-aging refers to improving the health factors to achieve a healthy physiology faster than the aging process determined by our DNA. Two Theories of Aging Programmed Theory This theory centers around the telomere or DMA cap-the genetic clock that determines how long the DNA can reproduce in a new cell and repair cellular and DNA damage. Damage Theory The damage theory is based on the concept that aging is a function of how much accumulated damage is done to cells and DNA. Both theories seem to be at work in every human and they determine when a person will die of "natural causes." Much research has been directed at the control of genetically programmed aging, yet there still exists no way to alter this programming. The focus on anti-aging is on reducing factors that cause damage to cells and DNA (oxidation, toxins, stress, infections, and electromagnetic frequencies) and providing building blocks for the body to heal and repair.
  23. I read a book on fasting and it was a very slim book. No really; short-term human trials showed weight loss. The side effect was that the participants felt cranky during the three-week trial. According to the study conducted by Dr. Eric Ravussin, "Alternate-day fasting may be an alternative to prolonged diet restriction for increasing the life span.”
  24. Take time out to have fun! In 19 research projects involving populations chosen independently of their health status, ratings of mood, happiness, and life satisfaction at the beginning of a study had a large and positive impact on the chance a person was alive at the end of the follow-up period.
  25. Physical stress refers to a physical reaction of the body to various triggers. The pain experienced after surgery is an example of physical stress. Physical stress often leads to emotional stress, and emotional stress often occurs as physical discomfort (e.g., stomach cramps). Stress itself is not bad, it is the way we deal with the stress that leads to triumph over a situation or despair.
  26. Your nervous system is the communication center of your body. Communication from your brain to every cell, organ, gland, muscle, immune system, etc… your nervous system must be working well for your body to work well. What is the point of eating well if your nervous system isn’t telling digestion what to do? What is the point of sleep if the nervous system isn’t building good restorative cells? What is the point of exercising / stress management or trying to lose weight if the nervous system isn’t communicating well with glands, hormones, immune system?
