We were founded based on the
realisation that there were very few
companies offering a professional,
‘hands on’ approach to technical
support and consultancy services
within our specialist sectors.
Through years of working in the
composite and yacht coating industries
all over the world, we identified the issues
that some yards were having regarding
flexible staffing requirements, resulting
in unprepared projects.
Our team of subcontractors consists
of over 150 advanced composite
technicians, superyacht coating experts,
superyacht teak and deck levelling
experts and high end automation and
entertainment professionals, with an
additional network of partners to help
us execute projects of any size.

distinguishes our fairing and painting
team from many others. We consider
the fairing and finishing of a project
to be more than the final steps in the
boat-building process. A flawless paint
application over a perfectly faired surface
is a huge reflection on the overall project.
Concept Yachts prides itself in having
some of the best painters within the
superyacht industry. Their uncontested
skill and knowledge in the application of
a wide range of marine paints guarantees
all our customers with some of the
highest paint finishes in the business.
Our painters also have a firm knowledge
in the application of pearlescent/metallic
paints and various graphics.
Our team of subcontractors have been
involved with many prestigious projects
including Devonport’s 77 metre M/Y
‘Samar’, 82 metre M/Y ‘Sarafsa’, Ocean
Classics 58 metre M/Y ‘Ocean One’,
Abu Dhabi Mar’s 141 metre M/Y ‘Yas’ and
most recently M/Y ‘Jaguar’ at Pendennis
amongst many other sailing yachts,
power boats and patrol vessels.

5. TEAK
Concept Teak is our most recent
division at Concept Yachts.
With our expertise in vacuum consolidation
through our ‘Composites’ department and
a recent collaboration with our Italian and
Romanian colleagues, who are experts in
the teak deck and deck levelling field,
Concept Teak has been created.
We offer high quality teak decking solutions
from luxury yachts to Giga-yachts.
With manufacturing facilities in Italy and a new
1500m2
facility being established in Romania,
we are now able to undertake projects of any
size whilst maintaining our ethos of perfection.

6. Between 2008 and 2012, Concept
Yachts are proud to have worked with
and supported Abu Dhabi Mar with the
construction of their Swift 141 project.
Now officially named M/Y ‘YAS’, she was the
6th longest yacht in the world at the time of
completion.
‘Yas’ 141 metres LOA, used the steel hull of a Dutch
naval frigate, with a full composite superstructure
replacing the naval structures, to create a unique
style. The superstructure, the largest composite
object of its kind ever built, was an exciting and
challenging project for us to be a part of.
Our team of over 35 specialist technicians and
consultants worked closely with Abu Dhabi Mar’s
in-house Composite Department, under the
direction of Andrew Lea, to help manage and train
their 100-strong team. The ground-breaking result
used the most advance techniques in composite
manufacture, to produce what has been said to
be “a major milestone in shipbuilding technology
and art that will be difficult to surpass”.

in the UK), have teamed up to create Cybermarine providing
automation entertainment systems for superyachts.
We have combined our expertise in
world-class automation, security and
entertainment installations with that of
the best specialists to develop smart
systems for yachts and superyachts.
