WHAT IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE?
Domestic violence is a pattern
of abusive behavior in any
relationship that is used by one
person to gain or maintain
power and control over another
intimate partner or family
member. Abusive behavior can
be physical, emotional,
verbal, financial, and sexual.
WHAT IS SEXUAL ASSAULT?
Sexual assault occurs
anytime a person is forced,
coerced, and/or manipulated
into any unwanted sexual
contact, attempted or completed,
without consent.
KAN-WIN is the first
independent domestic
violence organization
in the Korean community
in the United States.
