• Taught and achieved learning objective in all subjects including reading, writing, speaking,
social science, math and science. I will just highlight a few of the things below.
• ELA: I taught students how to determine an author’s point of view or purpose in a text and
analyze how the author distinguished his or her position from that of others. I also taught them
how to trace and evaluate the argument and specific claims in a text assessing whether the
reasoning is sound and the evidence is relevant and sufficient to support the claims. I taught them
how to write an effective argumentative essay with supportive claims and evidence.
• Social Science: I taught students to analyze the geographic, political, economic, religious, and
social structures of the civilizations of Islam, China, Africa, Rome, Japan and Korea.
Technology: I integrated technology standards to have them create and present research using
google slides, Prezi and PowToons.
• Math: Students solved algebraic equations starting with the study of integers and rational
numbers. Students went on to solve inequalities involving integers and rational numbers. I
implemented some helpful interactive journal tools that increased their knowledge and gains.
• Science: Engaged students in the process of life science using the scientific method. This
included having students ask questions, conduct research, make hypothesis, conduct experiments,
analyze data and report results.
