Key Skills
• Collaboration
o I introduced a new style of bargaining with a major partner group based on
responsiveness, trust and transparency;
o As District Principal, I developed a new strategy for assessing and supporting
staff effectiveness over time to ensure that staff were accountable and
supported in their professional growth;
o I established a network of support for new staff and a system of mentoring
based on needs identified through on-going surveys and needs assessments;
o I have engaged stakeholder groups in meaningful change in all of the projects I
have led including, the community school, levels of government, community
agencies, First Nations, and different bargaining groups with competing
interests, ensuring a fair process and lasting transformation;
o By using my counseling and coaching skills, I have mentored professionals at all
levels of the organization to support personal and professional growth;

o While I am mindful of the layers of governance pertaining to educational,
corporate and municipal operations, and very respectful of collective
