As a teacher in the Center for Communications, I am responsible for all aspects of the classroom
including lesson planning, execution, and classroom management for 9th
grade Pre-AP English, Intro
to Communications Technology, and 9th
grade CP English. I create technology-rich, differentiated
lesson plans for students that have both learning disabilities and students that are gifted. In my first
year of teaching, I had the highest SOL pass rate among English 10 Standard teachers. Additional
responsibilities: Faculty sponsor for National Honor Society since 2013, Homecoming court
chairperson since 2012, Class advisor for class of 2009 & 2012, Photojournalism teacher from 2006-
2011. In that role I worked with students to create the yearbook which included creating a summer

enter the interview process with Capital One. Responsible for reporting of all EEO data for Capital
