2. Families Shouldn’t Foster Alone
FaithBridge asked our current and
former foster families to complete a
brief, online survey to help us better
understand their experiences, needs
and perceptions about the volunteer
support they receive as foster parents.
The survey was designed to evaluate
the effectiveness of the FaithBridge
Community of Care, our ministry model
that surrounds foster families with
the unparalleled support of trained
volunteers and paid professionals.
Key findings:
• 9 out of 10 FaithBridge foster families had access to a volunteer support network
• 3 out of 4 FaithBridge foster families took advantage of their volunteer support network within a
60-day window
• Four key volunteer opportunities are requested most often by foster families: respite care,
babysitting, transportation and meals, clothing and supplies.
Get details on these and other findings in a 30-page e-book.
