FaithBridge began with a simple premise:
Fostering children from hard places is incredibly difficult
...and to make it easier, families shouldn’t foster alone.
That’s why we developed the FaithBridge Community of CareSM
.
The FaithBridge Community of CareSM
attracts, engages and retains families in foster care ministry—as
foster families and as support team volunteers. This ministry model allows everyone to use their unique
gifts and talents to care for their community’s foster children.
Certified ministry leaders are trained to develop and manage a FaithBridge Community of CareSM
in their
local area and learn how to:
•	conduct a local comprehensive landscape study
•	develop an annual ministry plan
•	cast vision and raise awareness of the local foster care crisis
•	train and equip families for service in Christian foster care ministry
•	deploy a support system that helps foster families and volunteers “stick”
•	use best-in-class resources and tools to ensure a healthy
•	measure ministry outcomes using FaithBridge web tools

About the FaithBridge Community of CareSM
FaithBridge’s research-based, integrated foster care
delivery model is called the FaithBridge Community
of CareSM
. It has two primary distinctions: trained
volunteers who provide unparalleled support to
foster families as well as a FaithBridge foster family
consultant who provides child welfare and spiritual
support to families.

Families Shouldn’t Foster Alone
FaithBridge asked our current and
former foster families to complete a
brief, online survey to help us better
understand their experiences, needs
and perceptions about the volunteer
support they receive as foster parents.
The survey was designed to evaluate
the effectiveness of the FaithBridge
Community of Care, our ministry model
that surrounds foster families with
the unparalleled support of trained
volunteers and paid professionals.
Key findings:
•	9 out of 10 FaithBridge foster families had access to a volunteer support network
•	3 out of 4 FaithBridge foster families took advantage of their volunteer support network within a
60-day window
•	Four key volunteer opportunities are requested most often by foster families: respite care,
babysitting, transportation and meals, clothing and supplies.
Get details on these and other findings in a 30-page e-book.
