2. The threat.
Amongst all the positive developments that bring smiles to our faces there are
certain unpleasant developments that have soured our lives with the presence of
a fear factor.
Women especially have been the target of attacks by miscreants. Be
it chain/bag snatchers, molesters or psycho’s looking for soft targets, women
have always been at the receiving end of such acts.
Research indicates that this negative trend is likely to go up in the near future thus
endangering not only the lives of the present generation of grownups but also the
coming generations.

3. The remedy.
Grand Master Haridas Govind says
`` The attack starts much earlier than it becomes physical``.
The world is changing fast. Where men and women are working together, contributing to the
development of society with equal zest and vigour. To maintain this zest and balance, it is
much needed to take actions to make our girls and ladies secured and prepared for the
challenges further.
One of the best remedy is to prepare your females mentally and physically, to handle
threatening situations by their own. Also to recognise and prevent the early signs of attack
before it turns fatal..

4. What do we teach.
Being safe:
 How to avoid being a target
 How to handle a confrontation:
verbally, mentally, and psychologically
 The power of body language and non-
verbal cues
 Effective tips- be safe and more aware
 Safety items and how to use your cell
phone as an “invisible friend”
 Specific locations: elevators, street,
subways, dates, bars, taxis, etc.
 Learning how to use voice modulation
Physical Techniques:
 How, when and where to strike
 Human anatomy in accordance to an
attacker s body
 Learning basic and most effective strikes
 How to handle attacks from behind and
by a weapon
 Escape from grabs and chokeholds
 How to handle multiple attackers
 Easy mnemonic devices to remember
 Stacking, molestation

5. How do we teach.
For corporates-
 Sessions are conducted for girls and females. Duration of sessions are selected on
choice (Refer slide 7). Physical as well as mental development is targeted during
sessions.
 Presentation, manures and techniques, practical sessions, talk sessions, question
& answers all teaching methods are used during the sessions.
All sessions are designed and conducted under the guidance of
Shihan Haridas Govind.

6. Since2011 Shihan has dedicated himself to teach
karate in India.
 Karate Program for girls and females with the
objective of building confidence and a
disciplined way of life along with enhanced
physical capabilities
 Specialized courses for young adults and teens,
especially girls. The objective has been
to empower them with the right skills to keep
them safe and life a successful life.
 Women’s self defence Workshops for both
corporate houses and academic institutions
 Weapons training under Hodo Ryu Kobudo
 Mentoring and helping athletes to become
better in their respective field

7. The packages
SDWMP2(45min.Talkshow)
•This is a very basic workshop that
touches upon essentials. Due to
limitation of time in this workshop,
video based training is not
included. The fee for this program is
a fixed fee of Rs 15,000/- There is
no minimum or maximum
participation required in this
workshop but preferably not more
than 30 SDWMP4(2Hourworkshop)
•It does cover a lot of relevant
situations and methodologies.. lot
of organizations who are not in a
position to dedicate a day for
women's self defence workshop,
Opt for this 2 Hour program. Fee
for SDW MP4 workshop is Rs1000/-
per participant and there is a limit
to the attendance per workshop, it
is for minimum 20 and maximum 25
participants)
SDWMP8(1monthworkshop)
•This workshop is more
comprehensive and meaningful and
it achieves a great deal. It does help
the participants attain more clarity
and also helps in a paradigm shift in
thinking and attitudes. Video Based
content is used in this workshop
and this is the workshop that is
highly recommend. ( fee for SDW
MP8 is Rs 1600 per participant)
Batch size is not more than 25 and
minimum is 20 participants.

8. Brief outline.
KBK-Raksha, is working actively to spread this campaign more and more across India,
