DECLARATION
9. Our business idea is to create a clothing brand for expecting women. Now a days women don't want to sit
and rest at homes instead they want to work even during their pregnancy and they want to feel good and
look good and wants to feel comfortable in every possible way.The idea behind creating this brand is to solve
the problems faced by the women during pregnancy. Women don't get the right size and fit in clothing during
their pregnacy period. Their are few brands which have started creating maternity garments but that is not
enough to meet the needs of women. The first priority of a pregnant women is comfort. Finding comfortable
clothes with a right type of silhouette specifically made according to the size of a pregnant women is difficult
during these days. There are working women, who works even during the time of pregnancy so their prirority
is to find comfort along with it the style. So comfort with style is the important factor that our brand will offer
to the clients.Additionally, there is a preference for natural textiles/fabrics such as cotton suitable to the warm
and humid climate of India and lycra for the stretchability during pregnancy. so this is the reason behind using
the organic fabrics because these fabrics are skin friendly and really essential for a pregnant women. Apart
from this, our brand will spread the idea of sustainability through the use organic fabrics. So our brand is not
only considering the benefits related to the skin but also keeping in mind about the environment because at
this point of time our environment needs saving more than any other time.
Other than using the organic fabrics, Natural dying is our another step towards protecting the environment.
Natural dying is done from the plants and vegetables extracts which can easily get decomposed in the soil.
Chemical dying is harmful because when it is done on some synthetic fabrics, it releases some gases which
are harmful for both mother and the baby. So use of organic fabrics and natural dying is the Usp of our brand.
Increasingly, women continue to work during pregnancy and practice activities such as yoga and swimming.
Mothers-to-be need garments that ‘fit’ professional and leisure activities; this research identifies the
opportunities for the apparel industry, from manufacturers, to retailers and merchandisers, to expand into this
target market.
The most important criterion in the purchasing decision is size and fit. This is followed by the quality and the
price. Our brand will provide all the sizes that will fulfill the demands of women with differnet body proportion
during pregnancy. Along with the size, our brand will provide wide variety of garments in terms of silhouettes,
colours, patterns, prints etc. What we see today is that, there are brands that offers maternnity wear but
there are not much of the options in terms of design element.
We will fulfill this need of women and they will have lot of variations to choose from and those clothes will be
affordable so that women can buy them without thinking twice.
11. Mission

products to choose from. To become the premier maternity brand for the expectant mother.

41. 1. Business plan project helps us to understand the importance of planning.
2. Business plan is the blueprint of the idea, without this a business can not work well.
3. This helps us to think beyond our abilities and helps us to do the research in a right way.
4. This makes things easy for us to make any business plan in future after completion of our studies.
5. We have the idea of the step wise procedure of making a plan.
6. We have made strategies of marketing to promote the business because no matter what we are making
and how brilliant it is, if marketing strategy is not right we cannot sell the product.
7. Similarly, making the financial plan helps us to understand how things should be done under budget
and how all the expenses are divided in categories to make things easy.
8. This project helps us to understand the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats of a business
faced by anyone with a startup.
9. Specifically in our idea, we understood a lot about women problems and we came to the solutions by
doing research and consulting the right persons.
10. The range planning and designs helps us to apply our ideas in real life. This is a practical thing to do
because we get the exact idea of the designs and variety we will be selling in future.
11. Making the production files and all the specification sheets gave us the idea of alignment and it gives
the direction of channeling things when made in a large quantity.
12. Interacting with the faculties and industry people helps us to understand the key factors required before
starting up the business.
13. This also makes us understand the value of unity, discipline and how things become easy when done in
a group of people. Dividing the work among ourselves not only made the work easy but it also provide
us the support and motivation.
14. We came to about about the effect of different economical, social and political factors and how they can
effect any business and how they should be considered before starting the business.
15. We get to know the different pricing strategies and how we have to set the prices of different products
keeping in mind the competitors price and penetrating pricing method etc.
16. Also, knowing about the competitors helps us to make something different and relevant that is not there
in the market. We start thing beyond our bounderies.
17. Studying about the problems first before creating anything helps us to create the right product and its
demand will definitely be there in the market. So to get the customer base for the product, we need to
study the problems, requirements of our customers and what is lacking in the market and how we can
fill the gap.
43. Our idea is to create a clothing brand for expectant mother. Now a days women don't want to sit and rest at
homes instead they want to work even during their pregnancy and they want to feel good and look good and
wants to feel comfortable in every possible way.The idea behind creating this brand is to grow awareness
over the importance of wearing comfortable clothes during pregnancy. Few of the benefits of maternity
apparel include easy mobility, and stretchable fabric that stretch comfortably across the body eliminating
uncomfortable constriction and pressure on the growing womb. Additionally, there is a preference for natural
textiles/fabrics such as cotton suitable to the warm and humid climate of India and lycra for the stretchability
during pregnancy. so this is the reason behind using the organic fabrics because these fabrics are skin friendly
and really essential for a pregnant women. Apart from this, our brand will spread the idea of sustainability
through the use organic fabrics. So our brand is not only considering the benefits related to the skin but also
keeping in mind about the environment because at this point of time our environment needs saving more
than any other time. Other than using the organic fabrics, Natural dying is our another step towards
protecting the environment. Our brand will provide all the sizes that will fulfill the demands of women with
differnet body proportion during pregnancy. Along with the size, our brand will provide wide variety of
garments in terms of silhouettes, colours, patterns, prints etc.
