Major League Baseball can be an odd sport to follow. Many possibilities can happen with
a team throughout a season. Some expect to be the best team in the division or league. Some
teams already know they will not be as good as the elite teams. Rules are in place for teams to
make trades to make their team better and some trades can be busts.
This is how every Major League Baseball team acted with an hour or less before the July
31st trade deadline.
Arizona diamondbacks: We already got J.D. Martinez, what else do we really need? We have
the pitching and hitting so we are ready to beat up on the Dodgers.
Atlanta Braves: Already 15 games back from the division. Our young talent we do not want to
trade away. We cannot trade Freddie Freeman, we built this ballpark just so he can hit homeruns.
Baltimore Orioles: Let’s not worry about putting Mark Trumbo on the DL. We will see what
the Yankees do so we can adapt. We can only hope they do not do any deals with less than 2
minutes left in the deadline.
Boston Red Sox: We are doing great only a half a game out a few of our key people will be
coming off the DL. Watching out American League East, we will be victorious.
Chicago Cubs: We won the World Series last year so suck it.
2. Chicago White Sox: Still in the shadow of the Cubs. Can we just please call up Yoan Moncada
so we have something to look forward for?
Cincinnati Reds: Here you go Dodgers you can have our best pitcher Tony Cingrani, we would
love your mediocre talent so they will never play a game in the major leagues.
Cleveland Indians: We are the reigning American League Champions and American League
Central Champions. The Royals do not scare us. I feel like we will go on a 20 game win streak or
something later on in the year.
Colorado Rockies: It sucks we have the Dodgers and Diamondback in our division because we
are already 14 games over .500. We have the best-put together team in the longest time. It looks
like 2007 all over again.
Detroit Tigers: With the Indians, the best team in baseball, we are not relevant anymore. We
told the media that our best pitcher since 2006 will be traded at the deadline. Made a deal with
Chicago
Huston Astros: Welcome to the team Francisco Liriano. Glad we got the C+ player and not the
A+ we were wanting.
Kansas City Royals: We are going for nothing can stop us. We were the Cinderella team back
in 2014 and 2015. The sky is the limit or the Indians are just too damn good.
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: Let’s trade with Arizona and have the trade go under radar of
the league. Mike trout will take us to the Promised Land and we will win the World Series.
Los Angeles Dodgers: Oh shit we need ever pitcher in the Majors. Welcome to the team Tony
Cingrani. Welcome to the team Tony Watson you left handed are will go perfect for the team.
3. You have to be kidding, Yu Darvish with less than a minute left and you are on the team. We
have the best record in baseball and we have all the best arms from every team in baseball.
Nobody is stopping us to win the World Series.
Miami Marlins: Two words for you Giancarlo Stanton.
Milwaukee Brewers: As being the most surprising team in baseball, I believe we will shock the
world as the Royals did in 2014 and 2015.
Minnesota Twins: thinking of all the young talent we have and we won’t give up so let’s just
trade the best closer in the league to the Nationals.
New York Mets: We do not have a Giancarlo Stanton and no Bryce Harper so we have to look
forward to next year.
New York Yankees: Shit, there are 40 seconds left, what do we do? Thank God we just got
Sonny Gray from Oakland. It is like taking candy from a baby.
Oakland Athletics: Giving up is what we usually do so why change?
Philadelphia Phillies: If we could trade our mascot, we would.
Pittsburgh Pirates: Now the Brewers are good in our division. Next season is looking good for
us. Good-bye 2017.
San Diego Padres: Last week we traded our bullpen to the Royals so there is nothing else that
we could trade to get any value. At our rate 2020 Padres World Champions.
San Francisco Giants: With our pitching, there is no reason why we are not in first place. We
do not have any more cap room to make any trades. Call us the Titanic number two.
4. Seattle Mariners: Boom-stick baby Nelson Cruz is going to lead us past the wild card game
because there is no chance to keep up with the Astros.
St. Louis Cardinals: Can we try to be quiet to think we are not going to make to the postseason,
but surprise everyone in September and go on a run and make it to the postseason?
Tampa Bay Rays: Let’s trade our best middle infielder since forever to a division rival
Baltimore and act like we are going to give up because Lucas Duda is in our sights to get.
Texas Rangers: Already 19 games out of first place in the west. I do not see how we can get
back to the postseason. Two thousand and seventeen is already slipping of from our hands.
Toronto Blue Jays: Giving up is our option. Our bullpen is traded away already and the team
cannot stay healthy.
Washington Nationals: Thank God it is not September yet because we do amazing until then. If
Bryce Harper stays healthy for us we have the National League on lockdown.
