Catania demonstrated that the juice of
Moro exerts metabolic hepatoprotective
effects due to changes in the expression
of several enzymes involved in lipid
homeostasis (Titta et al., 2010; Salamone
et al., 2012b).
Thus, the dietary administration of this
food may be effective in preventing liver
steatosis, and may be considered as a
nutritional approach for the prevention
of Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
(Salamone et al., 2012a).
