Architecture Analysis
All Electric Architecture – Responsible for evaluating the product landscape of an all electrical
architecture and recognise the complexity required to maintain the market share.
Analysed architecture to identify breakpoints in a bid to reduce complexity and increase
commonality, which in return reduced the cost of producing the architecture without
weakening the product offer from the architecture.
Worked closely in line with Global Strategy, Marketing, Manufacturing and Technical
Specialists to provide high quality and imaginative technical solutions to stakeholders’
requirements.
Competitive benchmarking to set targets with the aim to ensure new architecture will
produce technically competitive products that met customer expectations.
Evaluated the total cost of ownership of JLR future large SUV to produce a detailed strategy to
ensure product will be in a competitive insurance group.
Evaluated JLR economic moat to highlight aspects that gave the company a competitive
advantage and produced a clear plan on how JLR can grow its economic moat and improve
customer retention.
Level 4 Autonomous System – Responsible for finding an architectural solution for the packaging
of the sensors and computing platform to achieve L4 Autonomy.
Managed conflicts across cross functional teams to produce an architecture GRID packaging
solution without over compromising the design language and technical capability of the
autonomy system.
Worked closely with the Autonomy team to create a strategy on how to provide cooling, wash
system and power to the computing platform and relative sensors.
Created vibration test plans for proposed mounting location for camera and Lidar sensors.
2. Research Engineer
Automatic Terrain Response System – Developed an automatic road surface detection system,
as part of the next generation off-road capabilities team.
Responsible for test plan creation and data collection of multiple surfaces to build a concrete
data base.
Worked closely with machine learning technical specialist to train a model to differentiate
surface depending on acoustic pattern.
Responsible for the validation of surface detection model.
Provided development and testing support to various in-house research projects.
Confidence in presentation of concepts and project status to Chief engineers and other
stakeholders.
Advanced NVH – Aim to bring new exciting and innovative NVH technologies to the automotive
industry. Responsible for investigating, designing and developing features that will give Jaguar Land
Rover first to market NVH technology.
Designed 4 patents, of which 2 are in development to be launched on the 2020 Range Rover
Autobiography as unique selling points for the brand.
Provided support to the active road noise cancelation team, from test plan creation, sensor
validation and system validation.
A broad range of test techniques including accelerometer measurements, interior and exterior
acoustics, physical acoustics and simple modal analysis techniques to ensure extensive
research into proposed technology.
CNH Industrial N.V – Basildon UK Jun 2014 – Jun 2015
Engineering Internship
NVH Test Engineer – Accountable for all noise and vibration tests. I was Involved from test
planning through the test plan development, execution and results reporting.
Exstensive noise and vibration test to investigated hydraulic induced noise and vibration
issue.
Rapid response to equipment failures and implementing immediate repairs or alternatives.
Investigation and reporting of concerns, with the overall aim of understanding vehicle
noise/vibration characteristics and component durability performance.
