To Whom It May Concern:
Laura Hannaford worked at Soar Mill Cove Hotel throughout the season of 2014 as well as other
part time intervals. She worked in all areas of the hotel as well as our private VIP serviced villas
and self-catering properties particularly specialising in the Housekeeping Service in the hotel,
“Discovery Leisure Club”, Villas and Self Catering Properties.
During her time she developed and overcame and levels of shyness that as a young person she
initially had. As she gained experience her confidence improved dramatically.
Laura managed the pool laundry and ensured the pool and spa areas were clean and properly
stocked with towels, disposables and mineral water throughout the day. She was able to work
alone, unsupervised and perform these roles with attention to detail and an excellent level of
customer care that was often commented on by customers who expected a high level of service.
As is required in such areas where guests valuable are on show, she demonstrated her complete
honesty without fault and was a trustworthy employee. Laura dealt with guest’s lost property
and on every occasion all were handled correctly and with discretion.
At other times Laura worked as a waitress in the restaurant and coffee shop, serving guests and
creating teas and speciality coffees. She also worked when required by the demands of service
to work as a general assistant in the kitchen.
During her time with us she became a respected member of the Soar Mill Cove team, and
popular within all departments both socially and professionally. She was never late and never
took any time off.
Laura left us to take a post with a private family in Holland and gain experience of living in
another country with other cultures from where she has used this as a base to gain further
experience and expand her horizons. We wish her well in her future career. If we had a future
opportunity to employee Laura we would do so without hesitation.
