The Indian education system has made significant progress in
recent years . Since the New Education Policy (NEP) came in
2020, many changes have been made in the education system that
included online education as well . since the outbreak of COVID-
19 began, 1.37 billion students in 138 countries all around the
globe have been affected by the closure of schools and
universities. The pandemic has transformed the old chalk-talk
teaching model into one driven by technology. Thus, it is
necessary to assess the satisfaction, challenges and preference
regarding e-learning to make teaching-learning process more
effective.

A quantitative, .Non experimental descriptive study was
conducted among the nursing students to assess the satisfaction,
challenges and preference regarding e-learning . The Objectives
of the study were 1. To assess the satisfaction regarding e-
learning among the nursing students in selected college. 2. To
assess the challenges regarding e-learning among the nursing
students in selected college. 3. To assess the preference
regarding e-learning among the nursing students in selected
college. 4. To find out the association of Satisfaction,
Challenges and Preference score with selected Demographic
variables.4.To distribute information booklet regarding e-
learning among Nursing students. A tool used for the study
consists of two parts. Section A (Socio Demographic Section)
and section B consists of Attitude scale. Result revealed that
Majority of the samples 357(74.38%) are moderately satisfied,
118(24.58%) are very satisfied. Majority of the samples
365(76.04%) face challenges sometimes, 94(19.58%) rarely face
challenges, 21(4.38%) often face challenges. Majority of the
samples 294(61.25%) don’t prefer e-learning wereas
186(38.75%) prefer e-learning.. The findings of the study
indicate that the level of satisfaction is associated with the age
and the level of challenges is associated with the academic year
and the preference is not associated with any of the socio-
demographic variables.
