4. For 2018- 2019 I did a lot of cool real world inquiries:
What is the Stock Market?
● Real World Inquiry on how to buy a shares
of stock
● I showed them the process in real time
● I then showed them how dollar cost
averaging works and explained that if you
have a thesis stick to to it
● Students learned how to compute a profit
● Students also learned that stocks fluctuate
greatly and the need for diversification
● They received 10% of profits for senior
activities
What is a Profit?
● Students explored what is a business and
started by analyzing is school a business
● They looked at real school budgets for all
their districts and discussed what is
revenue for schools and what is expenses.
● They compared budget proposals and
increase and decreases for one year to
the next
● They got to reflect on New Roots founding
and analyzed audited financial reports and
critically thought about Management’s
discussion

to go to College.

out to colleagues at Ithaca High School
and collaborated with Shaun Errichiello.
Shaun now will share findings from his first
unit inquiry from Ithaca High School.
8. Sustainable Entrepreneurship - Entrepreneurship I
Our first unit has been an inquiry: (links from our discussions)
What is a Entrepreneurship? What are the different structures of businesses?
What is a Sustainable Enterprise? How would we measure that? Is there more
than profit to consider when you are a business?
What sticks out from the Green New Deal?
As well as a career exploration of being a consultant and working with a team
and doing research on sustainable enterprises.
The students are learning how to analyze a business by looking at different
companies and sharing and discussing.
9. Using Amazon as an innovative leader
