2. Yep its true. Google Reader faces
its Apocalypse in a few months.
3. Google Reader, the eight-year-old RSS reader
that became an industry standard, has been
given a funeral date:
July 1, 2013.
RIP Google Reader.
You were a great sport..
10. 5. Google Reader has not had any new features in
years
Although all these features are cool, they came way back
in 2008.
11. 6. Subscriptions!
Managing them is a real pain.
There is no easy way to change their order through
setting(you need to be in a reader view to drag and drop
them)
12. 7. All the social features are removed and replaced
by a Google +1 button.
TRASH
Clicking the +1 button only adds the page to your Google
Profile &you need to click the "share on Google+" box to share
the page with your friends.
13. 8. Feed column cannot be expanded
It is a concern for users with
smaller screens. The feed
column takes up a whole lot of
space
15. 10. Folders and tags cannot public.
The blogroll widget and the associated public page don’t
updated.
16. 11. All the items +1'd from Google Reader are treated like
any other pages.
There's no way to read the posts shared by your friends
in Google Reader
18. 13. Home page! It’s completely up to Google
Reader what is shown on reader’s Home page.
You may tweak the Homepage but cannot arrange the Blogs
according to your hierarchy.
19. 14. Its Slow
Scrolling works fine. But The Reader becomes
awfully slow after performing few tasks.
