Background
Rising Generation Foundation (RGF) is a youth development non-profit organisation that started in 2011
as a brewing idea which conceived behind the young minds of two sisters (Lerato & Boitumelo Moroe).
This came after the realisation of how our youth are simply falling through the cracks of poor education
systems and legislation systems; are entangled with situations at home and all-in-all how more should be
done in our country to ensure that our youth become the light in a dark place. The R.G.F’s goal is to foster a
commitment to the youth that will promote pro-social relationships, strong interpersonal skills and reassert a
sense of hope in the future. Rising Generation Foundation aims to ensure a youth which believes in the
future of their dreams; becomes the shapers and skyscrapers of this country; exceeds set standards and
limitations; and proactively contributes to the future and development of this country.
Since Rising Generation Foundation’s establishment, we have successfully hosted an Academic Day and
Exam Prayer Seminar (2011) and Academic and Entrepreneur Seminar.
The seminar was put into action after the RGF directors (Lerato Moroe, Nozipho Ntitsane and Boitumelo
Moroe) verbalized their concern about the fact that majority of the learners are not properly informed of
what their choice of career actually entails in practice.
The aim of the project was to make learners aware of the requirements, training and practical nature of their
chosen occupation and to ensure that the learners are taking the appropriate subjects for their career choice.
On the day of the event four speakers from different career fields namely; medicine & pharmaceutical,
applied science & engineering, marketing & management, and accounting & finance, gave first-hand
information to the youth concerning the pitfalls, success and clarity of what their career of choice entails.
Despite many challenges and experiences we can proudly say that we have managed to make a positive
impact through this event in helping to add value to the lives of many youth in the Vaal region.

Our Services
Rising Generation Foundation has two different drives which are aimed at different spheres of a youth's life.
These include:
Unleashing your Full Potential Drive - an educational drive focusing on the awakening of the unrealized
ability of the youth and having programs for middle and high school youth in the Sedibeng district, and the
nation as a whole in future.
Its program is in direct response to the growing number of young people that are either falling through the
cracks at school or are already entangled with situations at home. The goal of the program is to identify
deserving students and less fortunate students an opportunity that will avoid the pitfalls that derail their
lives. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empowering the youth to
make positive changes in their lives.
Lend a hand Drive - a social sustainability drive aiming at giving back to the community and equipping the
youth with skills to better their lives. This is a drive whereby the youth give back to their communities
through volunteering at orphanages, old age homes and hospices; hosting of funs days for the less fortunate;
hosting charity campaigns; starting of vegetable gardens at schools and communities; teaching younger
children essential life skills; starting of soup kitchens; and donating of matric farewell dresses (in future) to
make those who can't afford to buy or have one made. As well as help the youth deal with youth
pregnancies, alcohol and drug abuse, and abuse of any form.
