himagine solutions has been providing outsourced HIM services to the healthcare industry since 1997. In August 2014, the
company was rebranded as part of a strategic plan to reposition the company as a true provider of outsourced healthcare
services versus a traditional staffing company.
The most significant aspect of the strategy was to fundamentally change the way himagine provides services to its clients by offering a
fully managed solution, including guaranteed resource availability; management oversight; ongoing audit and performance management;
contractually committed turnaround time, quality, and productivity; and dedicated client management. This enables hospitals to use
a single vendor for partial to full outsourcing whereby they benefit from a reduction in DNFC, DNFB and denials; increase in CMI; and
education of providers to ensure more complete documentation. Our model results in an average quality score of 98% across all customers
and 30% less coder turnover with an average time to fill a position within 48 hours and 38% less onboarding time. himagine solutions

2. The Best People
Our success starts with our people. All himagine employees are full time (90%) or part time (10%), U.S. based, W-2 employees. We do not
employ 1099 independent contractors. This is important because it ensures our coders are focused exclusively on serving you versus multiple
hospitals at the same time. We offer our employees a competitive compensation package with full benefits, training, and career development
opportunities with up to 12 free CEU credits per year, plus reimbursement for external education. Our coding professionals are fully
credentialed, with many holding more than one certification, including CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, RHIA, and RHIT. Our coders have an average of
eight years of coding experience. himagine conducts annual performance reviews, an annual employee engagement survey, exit interviews,
and utilizes an employee advisory council aimed at identifying ways to improve retention and employee satisfaction. The average
tenure of our coders within himagine is seven years.
3. Rigorous Hiring Process
Our team of eight recruiters and three redeployment specialists place an average of 100+ new employees per month. Before hiring a coder,
himagine performs extensive testing and screening to build a complete profile of the HIM professional. The employee profile is continuously
updated with new specialties, systems, and updates to their credentials. All coders must take a test based upon their area of expertise and
meet a minimum passing score. Tests are specific to the skill set required (e.g., inpatient), however, many candidates take multiple tests. All
tests have been tested for validity and reliability. If the coder passes, they must pass an interview with one of our TalentWorks executives.
Approximately, only 60% of coders pass and are eligible for hire by himagine.
4. Dedicated Implementation Team
We have a dedicated client implementation team led by our Chief Growth Officer who was previously a partner at Accenture, a leading
consulting firm, and spent over 15 years leading complex client engagements and implementations. We complete over 100 implementations
a year and bring tools, methodologies, and best practices to ensure success. A critical element of the implementation plan is establishing
baseline operational metrics so we can help you develop a business case to prove the return on investment by working with himagine.
5. Accelerated Ramp Up
Our TalentWorks organization ensures coders ramp up to target quality and productivity within 30 days. Each TalentWorks executive is
responsible for onboarding no more than four coders at the same time. This “hands on” approach includes training the coder prior and during
system access, coding charts with the coder side by side, conducting daily concurrent audit reviews and providing near real-time education
and coaching. Our TalentWorks program has proven to ramp up over 94% of our coders to target quality and productivity within 30 days.
6. Management Oversight
Our coders are enabled by a management team comprised of over 75 HIM Leads, Supervisors, Managers and Directors, each a credentialed
HIM professional. The management team is responsible for daily oversight, coder performance (quality and productivity), coaching and
development, providing detailed reporting and dashboards, as well as establishing and maintaining strong client relationships. For this
engagement, you will have a dedicated manager who will be an extension of your team.
7. Detailed Audits
During ramp up, the TalentWorks team completes daily concurrent audits until the coder can achieve 95% accuracy across 30 charts.
Subsequently, the coder is audited on an ongoing, monthly basis to ensure consistent quality. If the coder does not meet a 95% accuracy rate,
they are put on a corrective action plan which could ultimately lead to termination if improvement is not shown. Rather than use random
sampling, himagine uses inferential statistical analysis and modeling to identify and audit the records that will provide the most insight and
value to the coder and client. We also leverage an audit software platform to manage the workflow and analyze data (versus excel sheets).

8. Significant Education
Our Education Team is comprised of 30 resources who each hold several credentials and have over 30 years of experience. Our Education
and Compliance team members are provided with professional development dollars to attend conferences annually. Additionally, each team
member is required to take a specific number of hours of education, or complete targeted modules from our online learning platform on
an annual basis. Coder education is an ongoing practice within himagine. Tailored education plans are developed based on individual audit
findings, trends we see across the three million charts we audit annually and the latest coding guidelines. In addition, monthly educational
Webinars are held on specific topics, and coders earn CEU’s for attending. himagine coders also have access to our education portal, monthly
coding newsletter, and CodeOne Hotline for coding questions.
Did you know? himagine provides monthly education webinars to HIM
professionals across the country. In 2019, himagine educated and
provided continuing education credits to over 50,000 HIM professionals.
9. Compliance
himagine values security and compliance. himagine requires its staff to complete annual HIPAA training, which is also part of new hire
orientation training. Any documents containing protected health information must be secured and discarded in accordance with our HIPAA
policy. All himagine resources work remotely through our secure, HIPAA-compliant remote solution. In addition, himagine invested in
performing a SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 technology assessment for its systems and processes. All himagine employees work directly out of the
customer’s technology systems. We do not require any system integration.

  • 3. 2. The Best People Our success starts with our people. All himagine employees are full time (90%) or part time (10%), U.S. based, W-2 employees. We do not employ 1099 independent contractors. This is important because it ensures our coders are focused exclusively on serving you versus multiple hospitals at the same time. We offer our employees a competitive compensation package with full benefits, training, and career development opportunities with up to 12 free CEU credits per year, plus reimbursement for external education. Our coding professionals are fully credentialed, with many holding more than one certification, including CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, RHIA, and RHIT. Our coders have an average of eight years of coding experience. himagine conducts annual performance reviews, an annual employee engagement survey, exit interviews, and utilizes an employee advisory council aimed at identifying ways to improve retention and employee satisfaction. The average tenure of our coders within himagine is seven years. 3. Rigorous Hiring Process Our team of eight recruiters and three redeployment specialists place an average of 100+ new employees per month. Before hiring a coder, himagine performs extensive testing and screening to build a complete profile of the HIM professional. The employee profile is continuously updated with new specialties, systems, and updates to their credentials. All coders must take a test based upon their area of expertise and meet a minimum passing score. Tests are specific to the skill set required (e.g., inpatient), however, many candidates take multiple tests. All tests have been tested for validity and reliability. If the coder passes, they must pass an interview with one of our TalentWorks executives. Approximately, only 60% of coders pass and are eligible for hire by himagine. 4. Dedicated Implementation Team We have a dedicated client implementation team led by our Chief Growth Officer who was previously a partner at Accenture, a leading consulting firm, and spent over 15 years leading complex client engagements and implementations. Accelerated Ramp Up Our TalentWorks organization ensures coders ramp up to target quality and productivity within 30 days. Each TalentWorks executive is responsible for onboarding no more than four coders at the same time. This “hands on” approach includes training the coder prior and during system access, coding charts with the coder side by side, conducting daily concurrent audit reviews and providing near real-time education and coaching. Our TalentWorks program has proven to ramp up over 94% of our coders to target quality and productivity within 30 days. 6. Management Oversight Our coders are enabled by a management team comprised of over 75 HIM Leads, Supervisors, Managers and Directors, each a credentialed HIM professional. The management team is responsible for daily oversight, coder performance (quality and productivity), coaching and development, providing detailed reporting and dashboards, as well as establishing and maintaining strong client relationships. For this engagement, you will have a dedicated manager who will be an extension of your team. 7. Detailed Audits During ramp up, the TalentWorks team completes daily concurrent audits until the coder can achieve 95% accuracy across 30 charts. Subsequently, the coder is audited on an ongoing, monthly basis to ensure consistent quality. If the coder does not meet a 95% accuracy rate, they are put on a corrective action plan which could ultimately lead to termination if improvement is not shown. Rather than use random sampling, himagine uses inferential statistical analysis and modeling to identify and audit the records that will provide the most insight and value to the coder and client. Our Education and Compliance team members are provided with professional development dollars to attend conferences annually. Additionally, each team member is required to take a specific number of hours of education, or complete targeted modules from our online learning platform on an annual basis. Coder education is an ongoing practice within himagine. Tailored education plans are developed based on individual audit findings, trends we see across the three million charts we audit annually and the latest coding guidelines.
